Hidden gem of a chinese restaurant that serves great chinese breakfast/lunch items. This place had two very specific items that you do not often find in many chinese restaurants. One which my gf really enjoyed was called needle noodles which are noodles that are short about 2 inches in length and are pointy on both ends. It was nostalgic for her eating those noodles from her childhood which her grandparents made.As for me my nostalgic dish was snails, yes you heard it right. It brings me back to childhood too. Not french escargo, but fresh water snails that has a hard plate in front of the shell that protects them from predators. Of course you would eat it picking out the meat with a toothpick. There very limited amount of meat since part of the body contains sand and baby snail shells so only the small bit between the hard plate and the before the twisty bit is edible. Don't eat the sandy part or the consequent snail baby shells which won't taste food. It was funny hearing the neighboring tables inquire the staff about the snails which I guess makes sense since not a common dish. It's an acquired taste here in the states, but in chinese supermarkets they sell snail noodles that will have the flavor of the snails, but no meat since it's laborious to pick out the meat ergo pricey. Give it a try if you are brave enough! There was quite a bit of left over snails so I brought it home and made prepacked snail noodles with actual snail meat which was great!

I have to admit that this is hard to review because I have not really had authentic Chinese food before. It was okay... but our main complaint is that everything felt very oily. The dish we had with meat seemed to have just as much fat on it as actual meat, and we actually made the effort to peal the fat off so that we weren't eating it.You order on your phone, so there's no much interaction with a server. This was a challenge for us because we needed suggestions of what to order.

Highly recommend Happy Morning. Met a couple of friends here for a nice family style dinner. The service was very quick and staff was very kind and welcoming. The place is tucked in a corner of the Vons plaza by Rite Aid, on the other end of the plaza to other eateries, popping yolk, four seas, boiling point. The food was nicely portioned, perfect for family style and everything was fresh and very delicious. The decor was modern and very clean. 5 adults and 2 toddlers left very full and satisfied with left overs to boot. We tried a variety of veggie, noodle soup, fried rice, half chicken and everything tasted great. Growing up in San Gabriel/alhambra this place reminded me of the spots I grew up eating at, now I have a great food spot not far from the house. Can't wait to come back!

Been here 5x now and they have added a lot more menu items. Everything we ordered during each visit has been consistently good! We have also tried their new dishes and they are all good. Good portion as well. Go and support them! Its location is kind of hidden and tugged in so I hope people would still go.

This place was located in the far right corner of the plaza. It didn't look like much from the outside. My eyes lit up when I stepped in the restaurant. The ambiance was very pleasant and modern. There was an older lady working and she showed us where to sit. She gave us the menu then later told us that we can order online by scanning the QR code that's on the table. After we placed the order on our phones, it took them about 10 minutes to bring our food. We ordered the shrimp rice roll and pan fried vermicelli with egg and beef. They were both delicious but the vermicelli was exceptional. This is the first time that I've had fried vermicelli and they did a great job with the flavor and presentation. The only con was that it was a little oily but I'm sure you can make a request to go light on the oil in the special instructions box when you order. As I was filling out the receipt, the lady gave me a reusable bag with a cat on it. She explained that it's a lucky cat that brings in money. I highly recommend this Cantonese restaurant.

Came across this spot on Yelp and knew we had to come check it out! This spot is tucked away in the corner of the Vons plaza. The restaurant is very nice and has plenty of seating! This food they serve is more of breakfast/brunch but we decided to come get it for dinner haha We ordered the Pork Feet noodles, Pork Rib steam rice, and the Pan Fried Vermicelli (which is what caught our eye). Everything was on pointttt! I don't even like Pork Feet like that but those were very good! The star of the show was the Pan Fried Vermicelli! Vermicelli was cooked really well with the egg, minced beef, green beans, and pair really well with the crispy fried layer! The pork ribs were good as well, but did lack a little flavor. But they had a homemade spicy sauce/paste that paired well with everything!! You got to ask for the homemade hot sauce Service was also amazing. She was very attentive and helpful with bringing us anything we needed! If you're looking for a brunch spot or even dinner spot, y'all needa pull up!!

Food is consistent. Staff is attentive and lady in charge is super hard working and polite. Favorite is B1, the salty chicken soup with glutinous rice balls and fish cake tastes like homemade. The salted kumquat drink is super refreshing.

Out of the ordinary Chinese fare served are characterized by distinctive delicious flavor & textures! Courteous & friendly service. Tucked away in a corner between Rite Aid & Vons, parking & long wait for seating are not a problem.
