Noodles are handmade and the portion sizes are quite large. Service is fast and the beef roll wrapping is the perfect thickness and crispness. Would recommend this restaurant.
Northern Cafe has the best beef rolls in town. I can’t think of a restaurant (or chain) that does it better in LA. I got it to-go to have as a snack later at home. Will definitely be back for some more soon!

Small spot but amazing Chinese dishes.I ordered the beef shank noodle soup with the flat noodles (you get to choose which ones you want). First of all, it’s huge. In it came with 2 large bone in shanks which were tender and delicious! It wasn’t spicy but it was very flavorful. I added chili oil to spice it up. Next time I’ll just order it spicy. I was really impressed with this place. Def going back there for more!Parking: It’s located in the same mall as the 99 Ranch market. There’s plenty of parking, even when it’s busy!

If you are looking for flavorful and delicious food, Northern Cafe is the spot to go. My family and I come about 3x a month and their food is CONSISTENTLY delicious. Not sure why the overall rating is 3 stars. They have a large variety of noodle/rice dishes. The beef noodle soup is clean yet flavorful w/a kick of spicy. Yesterday, three of our family ate Roujiamo and we had diarrhea until the next day. I'm not sure if this will last all day but I have a very important event to go to today, and I'm going to the bathroom like every 2 hours I don't know what to do right now
Please reconsider going to a different place if you are looking to eat here towards the end of the night. The knife cut noodles here were extremely thick and hard which made it absolutely inedible to eat. Both my partner and I felt extremely nauseous towards the end of our meal and left midway into eating. I'm extremely disappointment with their food, especially their knife cut noodles and their noodle soup.

For the size of the diner, we were super impressed by their service. Authentic food. Fast service. They came to our table to pour water into disposable cups. Simple and theme-relevant interior decorations. Huge selection in the menu. I'm generally a gluten free eater. This was definitely a delicious gluten-filled meal. Oh... technology required... order using QR code and some sort of Chinese app. Glad that my friends placed the order for our table. Only reason for missing a star... we were so disappointed that they ran out of cucumbers and this other amazing appetizer that I forgot the name of. They did not have a lot of servers, AND never skipped a beat about making sure customers had the service they needed. No one hollered. Very unusual Chinese restaurant experience. Very pleasant experience. I'm just so impressed by the positive vibe of the people who work at this restaurant.

The place is small, but the food here is spicy and delicious. The noodles here are hand made. I like their chow mein and the beef roll. Totally different from other beef roll that I've tried.

My favorite thing here was the beef pancake roll. It's like a little Chinese Wellington. The portions are huge so you'll get your money's worth. We also got green onion pancakes, and 2 types of XLB. The food didn't leave an outstanding impression on me but I enjoyed my time there. Large amount of indoor seating and soy sauce, vinegar, chili very available for self use.
