Wow. Absolutely gobsmacked in the best possible way. Order here all the time. I guess on May 1 someone forgot to give me the side of fried rice in my takeout menu. Tamaya is a cozy Japanese restaurant in Hacienda Heights, known for its delicious ramen and authentic dishes. The ramen with lots of toppings and flavorful broth is a must-try, along with the mini katsu don. Fans of Pork Cutlet Curry will be delighted by the creamy and nutty taste reminiscent of Osaka, Japan. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere and free parking make it a convenient choice, although service can be slow during busy times. Despite this, the well-seasoned dishes like Kotteri Tonkotsu ramen and chashu roasted pork make it worth the wait. Customers often find the ramen very filling, with the broth tasting amazing and the portions just right. The staff is friendly and attentive, creating a warm and welcoming environment. Some guests note that the curry is very well made and perfect for them, while others enjoy the starter eggplant and pepper with pork. Overall, Tamaya remains a great spot for a tasty Japanese meal, especially for those craving ramen or rice dishes.
