We had a big table a few days ago.I need to mention that our server was fantastic. Her service was top-notch.We got the set menu. The 5 appetizers were extremely underwhelming. We felt like we were eating some canned food. The meat was great, but it was expected with the 128$ price tag. There is nothing extraordinary about it.Overall, we enjoy the service more than the food. I would rather spend my $ elsewhere.

It's been a while since I visited Yakiya, but the memories of that fantastic dining experience still linger. From the moment we arrived, we were promptly seated, a testament to their efficiency. I was particularly impressed with how quickly the staff ensured tables were cleaned between plates. The kitchen team deserves special mention too, as they kept the scrumptious dishes coming without any unnecessary delay. The star of the evening was, of course, the meat. Each cut was not only delicious but also richly flavored, a testament to their meticulous preparation. The presentation was nothing short of artistic, a feast for the eyes as much as for the palate. While the essence of the dishes was deeply rooted in Japanese culinary traditions, I was pleasantly surprised by the subtle touches of Korean fusion in some. It added an unexpected, yet delightful twist.

This is a prix fixe Japanese restaurant, focused on high-quality beef. My husband and I came here for an anniversary dinner and it blew us away. The drinks, the service, the presentation, the flavors, all exceptional. I lost count of the courses, and all were served promptly. I loved all the food, but some special standouts were the steak tartare, bone marrow fried rice, and A5 wagyu (grilled at your table!) with poached egg dip. They also gave us for our anniversary: a free cocktail, a custom-stamped cookie with our sorbet, and a personalized menu to take home. So, I highly recommend this restaurant for a special occasion dinner! Overall, an unforgettable evening!

I've been there couple times but the recent one was disappointed .Server kept touch glass, cup with finger , so I needed to change it but touched again. Even his jacket touches beef.. you need to close the button or hold it.And talked too much and slow, it bothered our conversation. He ruin my mood. It's joyful when talking about some common issues , but sometimes you better need to talk less. He likes to talk but not funny and too slow , boring. If you specifically mix rice why you talking? Looks not clean..luckily there were only 2 tables but if it is busy he can't make it on time. We still waited every corseBefore I got service from other servers it was great. I don't think I will go back.

The meal and the experience was great. We been to other places with a set menu like Kato and Maude and those meals were 3-4 hours long. Yakiya we were done within 1.5 hours. The food was very good and the beef selections were amazing! Super soft and well seasoned. The one thing that I wish I did is asked for a fresh plate before they served the beef. We had the tomato dish before the beef and the sauce then was all over the beef. The residual sauce ruined the flavor of the beef.Other than that, it was a fantastic meal.

If you are not a raw beef person, make sure to tell them at the beginning. There are 3 raw courses . They can replace it with something else. Very reasonably priced. Everything was great except :Beef cheek soup-beef was a little dryRice - a bit sour cause of the sauceI do wish they can change the plate after the tomato.

My second time at Yakiya. Food is good, but the place is definitely short staffed, as I had to wait 20 mins for a water refill. Wish they have more options for the menu, there aren’t many changes compared with 2019’s. But overall a great place for date or special occasion.

Wow this is such a hidden gem. Beats a lot of high end yakiniku places in LA. Wagyu omakase $128 pp. 10+ items (3 raw dishes, 3 warm dishes, and 4 yakiniku meat and a grand finale of A5 miyazaki wagyu) also a few palate cleanser in between courses and also 2 desserts! Crazy great value for all the quality food you get! Our server Alyssa was great and even gave us some backstory of the restaurant.Fun fact: they are owned by Panda Express so you might think it’s random that it’s opened next to some fast food chains ?

Yakiya is a unique BBQ restaurant in Hacienda Heights, CA. They serve a prix-fixe menu with a variety of beef dishes. The food quality, service, and ambient are all good. As a Chinese owned restaurant, its good quality is unusual. The thinly sliced A5 Wagyu was my favorite. Some improvement opportunities: The Beef Cheek had good flavor but the meat was dry. The sorbet had a combination of sour, sweet, bitter and spicy. It was too complex for me. It was about 48 degree Fahrenheit outside. They opened a door which was connected to the patio seating area. The patio cold air made the dining room a bit too cold. My friends felt uncomfortable. I told the manager and she was insensitive.

Experience here was great and delicious, for the price its not worth it to come back.So they asked if we eat raw meat. My husband didnt eat raw stuff. So we told them only 1 can eat raw stuff. So then we started with the raw food. But they only bring one serving each. I would thinking they would switch to something else that cooked for him. But no. Nothing. So its like 3 dishes in the begining he just watching me to eat lol.The food was good after all. But really small serving. So if you didnt eat raw meat , and come to this place they didnt replace the menu with something else for you. You would just sit there and eat nothing ???
