Half Moon Bay Coffee Co. is such a nice little stop when you’re by the coast! The atmosphere is warm and relaxed — the kind of place where you can sit with your coffee, enjoy the ocean air, and unwind for a bit. It’s casual, comfortable, and has that small-town charm that fits perfectly with Half Moon Bay.

The coffee is solid — smooth, rich, and always hot. Their pastries and breakfast items are tasty too, especially if you want something quick before exploring the area. Service is friendly and easygoing, even when it’s busy on weekends.

It’s not super fancy or upscale, but that’s part of what makes it great — it feels local and genuine. A perfect stop for a morning pick-me-up or an afternoon coffee break while enjoying the beach town vibe.

No ac. No bathroom for customers. Coffee sucks. Bad attitude.
Edit: just look at all the reviews regarding the restroom. The word restroom has become a keyword. The coffee is the worst in my entire life, instant coffee tastes better.

I genuinely hate to leave this review because the employees there were so nice and provided excellent service. However, their coffee is by far (not hyperbolically) the absolute worst I have had in the Bay Area. I’ve managed to find quite a significantly better cup of coffee from a shack on the side of the road in the desert before than this place provided.

In their coffee grinder there was clearly multiple different roast levels of coffee all dumped in with each other, and it had clearly gone stale as the latte I got tasted like the sludge often found at the bottom of a coffee pot.

If you’re going there just for food, it is an okay option. Good, but not excellent. If it’s for the coffee, please avoid it at all costs.

With cozy seating and a humble atmosphere, I expected a lot from this local place. Unfortunately, my whole family seemed to agree that it was a “mid” breakfast. Everything tasted and was presented cheap, but the price was anything but. They also had the restroom blocked off during our visit, which was understandable, but still an inconvenience. Overall, it seemed like a special place, but it wasn’t. 3/5.

it's a really bad experience. service is really bad. they also don't offer restroom and ask customers to use restroom outside, which we cannot find and end up walking 5 minutes and use the one on the street. dining area is disgusting. many flies.

A Half Moon Bay staple for over 25 years. I love being able to return to my hometown and know I'll get a tasty meal and hot cup of coffee from Coffee Co. Great selection of cafe breakfast and lunch items, wide assortment of coffee and teas, and comfortable indoor and outdoor seating.

I hope the manager of this place sees this because I called and want to complaint. Nothing against this place, I liked this place. It was not right. I’m a regular customer at this cafe. I’ve purchased small coffees and bagels. I’ve used their restroom before with no issues. Yesterday I was upset, disappointed and in shock. I had an urgent emergency to use the restroom, I asked a guy in the back who was uploading things, if I can. He said okay. It had a sign for cleaning. I went in it was open, so I thought it was okay. I am currently 20 weeks pregnant đŸ€°. Someone kept knocking on the door very strong and I replied but that person kept knocking. I got out, this short entitled lady chubby set came towards me aggressively yelling that I can’t use the restroom. I wasn’t sure if she was a janitor or employee from the back kitchen. I apologized and explained my situation that I’m pregnant and it was emergency. I asked someone earlier who was there it was fine. She said he doesn’t work here. Kept on verbally assaulting me and yelling at me after I apologized kindly. It was not right to do that to anyone. I hope this doesn’t happen to anyone else. This the 1st time this happened to me. It’s not right. I wonder if this falls under the The Restroom Access Act.
