I dont recommend this place. Especially if you are there kids. You have to wait outside in the freezing cold and wait times are all over the place. They told us 20mins wait time and they couldn’t get the table ready even after an hour. They kept saying another 20 mins.

This place is small but very cute and the food was delicious. I had the Tweety bowl which was flavorful, especially the mushrooms. I imagine there a line down the street given the food, ambiance and size of the place.

Staff was friendly, attentive and efficient. The food was good. I wish my Tweety's had at least two eggs. The restaurant was cold and drafty on the foggy day when we visited. Come well dressed just in case.

2 words... Absolute perfection! George & the staff deliver a superb culinary experience. That was the best breakfast I've had served to me at any restaurant. The brulee French toast is beyond delicious. All the sides were hot and freshly served. Combine that with friendly attentive staff, and a nostalgic 50s diner experience, and just you can't get any better than that. The total meal was a bit on the pricey side, but that seems to be the norm nowadays and regardless, it was well worth it. Thank you again George! Don't change a thing! Keep doing what you're doing. ?

Absolutely loved it here. The newer owner did such an amazing job redecorating it. It's a vintage theme down to the smallest attention to detail. Even the glassware, creamers, etc are vintage style. The background music is a comfortable level also vintage songs. It is wonderfully clean and the food is perfection. A hidden gem in Half Moon Bay, don't miss it!

Real gem in Half Moon Bay, California. The restaurant has a cool but no-fake vintage vibe, the staff is very friendly and the food is great. Keep in mind that you have to have a large appetite to compete with their dishes! If you are a couple, I suggest you to get there for a late breakfast or a brunch and order one savory dish and a sweet one, so to have the chance to try more things. You'll get to the end feeling pretty full, anyway.Prices are in line with the pricey California - let's say the price range is between 16/20 dollars for a dish - so it's ok.So, basically, if you're in Half Moon Bay, you have to try it!

Food was okay but nothing special. Sat in a booth by the front window and it was so cold my food immediately started to get cold. $50 for two simple breakfasts and two coffees is too much. Won't be back.

First time visiting Half Moon Bay and love the vibe! Eating @ this popular breakfast place, Johnny's, added to the overall experience. Decided to check it out after reading all the Yelp reviews. Immediately I noticed all the details that make this place feel welcoming. First, are the fresh flowers at each table and also on the counters! There is a bit of 60s theme throughout, but not overpowering. Service is excellent! The OG Eggs Bennedicte with potatoes was deliciously satisfying! Loved everything and hope to return in near future. Parking was surprisingly easy to find this morning considering it was a week day. I heard parking on weekends and holidays is another story.

My favorite place! I've been there multiple times now, that i can say this is def my spot! The mimosa kit 10/10 they freeze a ball of oj and let you add the Prosecco, what more can you ask for, for a mimosa brunch! The service is amazing! I didn't quite catch their names but they are all amazingly friendly! Always smiling and courteous! So far I've tried the chilaquiles (9/10, hash brown could use a little salt), the biscuits and gravy 100/10 (i crave this!!!!) my husband has had the salmon Benedict and pastrami melt and he said both times were amazing!! My parents had the classic American breakfast and the ingredients were so fresh!! Bonus points for FRESH SQUEEZED OJ!!! Ambiance is great! Decor is Beautiful, a classic American diner with a modern twist! Wish they were open a little later, but other than that please don't hesitate to go!!! Support local business!!

Atmosphere was nice, great music is played. Menu is limited selection. Food is overpriced. Service was not the greatest. Requested a lunch menu at 11:45, the Server would not give me a lunch menu. I did not order breakfast. The server was fine serving the rest of our party, did not offer a lunch menu at 12. Not the kind of place I would return to or recommend. I can understand if It was lunch time and I was trying to order breakfast. Clearly I was going towards the direction of your meal service. Our server did not return to offer a menu for lunch.
