Ketch has been a staple at pillar point for a while. I went a couple of times back when it was the old ketch and still had a very divey feel. It now is very clean and elegant inside but they made sure to keep the old sign and some remnants of the old spot. This place holds a special place in my heart. My dad used to go here all the time. The food is much better! The calamari sandwich is to die for and the clam chowder is delicious! I will definitely be coming back often for the food and the memories.

Literally called placed and order asked for simple things like condiments on the side thinking that I could just pick it up and it would be there since I asked. However that was not the case. Tell me how I’m supposed to enjoy fish and chips without condiments. Should have just went to Sam’s

*** Whether It Be Corporations Or Whether It Be Governments ***Regrettably, the prevailing trend at Ketch reflects a broader societal sickness—a sickness of greed, shortsightedness, and a flagrant disregard for that which truly matters: community and heritage. It is disheartening to witness the desecration of a once-vibrant hub of local culture and historical wisdom. Under the guise of progress, the new owners have shamelessly sacrificed the soul of Ketch Joanne's on the altar of profit. The removal of cherished booths, the dilution of bartending expertise, and the reduction of menu offerings serve as painful reminders of the erosion of tradition and authenticity. This transformation is not isolated to Ketch alone. It is symptomatic of a larger epidemic sweeping across America—a heedless march towards commercialization and homogenization, driven by political leaders who prioritize corporate interests over the well-being of their constituents. But we cannot stand idly by and watch as our beloved institutions are dismantled and commodified, without the consent or support of the citizens they are meant to serve. We must rise up in defense of our communities, our traditions, and our values. We must demand accountability from those in political power who facilitate and enable such destructive practices. It is imperative that we take a stand to ensure that such desecration never occurs again, without the true voice and support of the people. We must confront not only the visible manifestations of this decay but also the underlying rot that threatens to undermine the very foundation of our society. We must uphold the principles of liberty, justice, and wisdom upon which our nation was founded. In the face of adversity, we must remain steadfast in our commitment to preserving what is true and honorable. Let us not tolerate the erosion of our freedoms or the degradation of our cultural heritage, perpetrated by leaders who act without the consent and support of the citizens they are elected to represent.Together, we can reclaim the spirit of Ketch Joanne's and restore it to its former glory. But we must act swiftly and decisively, holding our political leaders accountable and ensuring that they serve the interests of the people, not the profits of corporations.

Fantastic! Great food. Reasonable prices and great people watching. Had a great burger and a walk on the beach. Staff is super friendly with a full bar and the comfy outside seating is dog friendly.

I held two events there this past weekend in the service, and the food was excellent. The attendees loved it. People were ranting and raving about just about every order. The calamari was amazing. The oysters were the best I've eaten. It goes on and on and on!! Excellent excellent excellent - thank you Michelle for an amazing weekend!!!

I saw some negative press on this site, but after stopping by earlier in the day to check out the menu and being greeted by enthusiastic employee, I thought it looked worth a try. We arrived without reservation but we're quickly seated after a short wait. The place was very busy. The menu had a little bit of everything. We opted for clam chowder, very good. The local Crab legs were super as well as the ceviche stuffed avocado. Beyond the good food at reasonable prices, the service was exceptional. Everybody from hostess, server, food runners, bus people, all were working very hard and being kind.

We had a group get together at Ketch, the staff was friendly and attentive. The location was perfect and the food and value exceeded my expectations. From the Calamari to Oysters, Fish N Chips to the Salmon that I had, everyone was very pleased. Plus they have an attractive, comfortable outdoor seating area as well. I would highly recommend Ketch!

If you *have* to eat here, it won't kill you. Fish and chips are soggy. Probably the worst I've had in HMB. Fish tacos were said to come with cod, but came with salmon. Very fishy. For soggy fish and chips - was remade, and then fresh and soggy. The waiter said he would just take it off the bill. I didn't expect that, but thought it was nice and thanked him. BUT, it was still on the bill! Hahaha Whatever. It is what it is, and what it is is a very mid restaurant surrounded by better options

Ketch was one of the best stops on PCH! On a road trip up north we stopped at Ketch for lunch for some seafood and couldn't have been more pleased with the variety of options! This was the crab sandwich, you could taste the freshness in the crab! The service is phenomenal, staff were very attentive and friendly. We were lucky to be there during a sunny day to enjoy their outside patio which offered a great ambience! I look forward to my next visit!

We are locals and used to go the Ketch before. The food was great, the service was good and you always felt welcome. Now...you have to wait a ridiculous amount of time just to get service, the food is way over priced for the quality and quantity and the few times we've been now, our order was wrong. This last time, we sat at the bar for over 20mins and couldn't get a drink, menu or even acknowledgment from the several wait staff and bartender that we tried to wave down. We won't be going back there ever.

We had an excellent breakfast here today! The homemade biscuits were delicious (I'd go back just for those), as was the avacado toast and eggs benedict. It was a beautiful morning so we were able to sit out on their patio at one of their fire pit tables - great ambiance and kept us warm! Service was efficient and friendly. We will definitely return!
