We visited Navio with some family from out of town. We had been meaning to visit for many years but had never made it down. We dined for the set price brunch.

The setting was amazing- absolutely gorgeous ocean views and our table overlooked the 18th hole. Service was friendly and available.

The food was an absolute disappointment. Maybe I am accustomed to SF pricing & quality, but I was incredibly disappointed. The lamb, lobster, and beef courses were very tasty but everything else was a miss. They sent us a salad that looked like it was made by a 4 year old with dressing slopped on top.

The oysters had clearly been shucked a long time ago and the toppings were disgusting - who ever asked for a sweet creamy oyster? I literally thought to myself, wow they have done a disservice to the oyster that died for this - absolutely inedible. Most of the fishes had some version of the same potato/butter puree. The vegetables on every plate were flavorless. The cauliflower soup was butter soup.

We asked for a bellini and got syrupy prosecco. If you can’t serve a bellini then just say no?

Who made these desserts? It was like a signature challenge from an early season episode of the great british bake off - soggy pastry shells and unfinished, lumpy, ugly cake edges. Seriously disappointing, amateur, childish desserts.

Incredibly uninspired and not worth 200$/person. Skip the set price brunch and if you want to visit, just go for the a la cart menu.

Our overall dining experience at Navio was just okay. The decor is heavy and outdated even though it looks like they may have done some “refresh.” Their service could certainly use improvements. For the price tag of their Prix Fixe menu, you’d expect high-quality service. Instead we got servers who didn’t show any genuine hospitality towards us. Very disappointed that this is the level of service at a Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay restaurant.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Navio. It was a memorable weekend with some of the best food I've had in a long time. I apologize for the delay in sharing my review as I initially lost, but later found the pictures from my visit.

The service and beverages were exceptional. My only suggestion is that they should offer more French wine options, but it's not so much a complaint as it is a request.

The food was part of a visiting Chef series, and during my visit, it was the 2023 Global Cuisine Series featuring Chef Miguel Navarro. I thoroughly enjoyed the event and look forward to returning to the restaurant in the future for more outstanding cuisine.

Overall, I liked the food. For up to $100, I would have been happy with the brunch. The place is stunning, with magnificent views of the ocean tableside.
My big complaint was that I payed over $200 and when I ordered lobster (my favorite food item and why I was so excited to go) I was told the kitchen had run out.
NEVER, when you charge $200 for an “all you can eat” brunch should you EVER run out of ANYTHING on the menu. Especially not the most expensive and luxurious item. COME ON!

As much as I loved the atmosphere I would not go back or recommend what you get….or rather dont get for the cost

Came to Navio for the first time to celebrate my birthday and the staff made it an amazing experience. We got a private room (for just the 6 of us) without even asking. Victoria one of the hostesses even wrote me a Birthday card in my native language. Cruz our server was super friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I even received a birthday surprise and a birthday song from the staff. The food was excellent. It was all small portions but it was delicious and very filling. I can’t wait to come back again.

An excellent place to enjoy the views of the Pacific Ocean. Waves crashing in the background as you sip a drink inside.Service is excellent as you expect from the Ritz.It was a great break from the drive up the coast. Definitely heading back when I am in Northern California.

The weekend brunch at Navio was an interesting experience. They have limited seating and are very strict about time limits. The food selection is fairly limited but everything is good quality. The dessert section was everyone's favorite.

So I took my mom to what I considered a really nice Christmas buffet. While there she asked me if I had ever been to the brunch at Ritz Carlton Halfmoon Bay. She said, " I heard it's really nice?". Translation= " I want you to take me there!" I decided to take her for Easter Brunch. This was my only second time here and it's a lot different than my first experience. The first time I came for brunch 7 years ago, it was more of a " buffett" style where you went on your own to the tables and picked what you want to eat. This time around, you get to pick 2 items at a time and pretty much as many times as you want or your belly can fill up within 1.5 hours and leaving 30 minutes for dessert. The ambiance here was simply elegant and classy. Loved how they decorated the reataurant and hotel for Easter w/ flowers and eggs everywhere. A costumed bunny even walked around to say hello!Service: excellent!Food: Sweet like chocolate chip pancakes to savory pasta and lobster... Nice selection of items and well executed. My favorites that I ordered 2x were the pan seared scallop and the lobster w/ beure blanc sauce. There is a 50 dollar charge for parking. And the price per person for Easter was $255. Overall, my mom Loved it! I highly recommend the Sunday brunch here for special occasions. I hope to come back soon and hopefully before another 7 years goes by!

I give this place 4 star rating. Alright. It's about 199.99 plus tax and tips for one person brunch. Since the price was high, I had to compare this place with other very fine dining places where I have been to (SFO, Vegas, Miami, HKG etc). With that price, we have to expect a very high quality of food and services. I have to say this place has an amazing view facing Pacific Ocean. The decoration and the hotel itself did give me a bit of classy feeling. The time I was there the place was not packed, which I liked. Quiet and relaxing. So I wanted to enjoy myself by not taking any pictures of the food. I didn't want to be "that person" who needed to take pictures of food all the damn time. I also wanted to respect the place and the atmosphere. It's all you can eat brunch. I can order as many times as I like within 2 hours period. I was allowed to only order two dishes at a time. My server had a very good timing to come by to help us order once we were finished dishes. Chefs always looked for perfection and consistency on every dish.I had total of 4 people and we tried all the food on the menu. I started off with caviar tasting and smoked salmon. The caviar was alright to me, but the smoked salmon with crispy potato opened my appetite. Then I ordered wagyu beef slider and lobster. Wagyu beef was not fully 100% wagyu. It's mixed. The slider also had a piece of pork belly in it. The fat from pork belly did ruin the taste of wagyu. So I had to take the pork belly, so I could try to taste the wagyu. Although it's not 100% wagyu, but it tasted pretty good with mushroom and sauce. I had this slider 3x. The lobster was fresh enough for me to have it 2x. I also had beef tenderloin. This was a filling piece and it was nicely cooked which was medium rare. The scallop was fresh and its surface was crispy enough for me to know that it's cooked and had good texture. Cavatelli, to me, was like very fancy mac n cheese with black truffle. This was very filling as well. I also tried their waffles and they did a good job on it by making it fresh, crispy, with nice real berries and sauce. Since I liked it, I was like okay... let me get the benedict and the chocolate chips pancakes. Both turned out to be... just okay. The dessert tower happened at the end. I took a picture of them because they were nicely decorated. I really liked the lavender one which was on the top and the peach one which was in the middle. The honeycomb and the chocolate one were just okay. Alright. the quality of food here was slightly above mediocre, compared to other places with similar prices. BUT the services were exceptionally good. And the view? no places can beat this. Oh yup. Almost forgot to tell you that you are required to use valent parking and it's 50 bucks for weekends. I think this was ridiculous since I came here for brunch. It should be complimented. This place can be a good place for dates or a small groups of people. I think coming this place was like one time experience for me. Should you come? I let you decide!

Navio seems to be a mediocre restaurant disguised as something greater because it is in the Ritz. At first glance, everything seems nice, elegant, and planned. Throughout the brunch we noticed things didn’t seem to be as great as they were. The server would say he would come back to introduce the dish to us but never come back to introduce the dish to us. The second server kept hovering and mumbling to us about whether we were done yet. She’d peak at our food, notice I hadn’t finished eating, say “oh not yet”, and then walk away. This server would be a better fit at a quick service restaurant given her rushing attitude. Lastly, when the dessert tower came, they took all of our utensils and left us with a spoon. Clearly not much thinking involved in this set up. We saw adjacent tables manhandling their cakes trying to get it out of the narrow shelf in the dessert tower. A fork or knife was very much needed for the desserts with hard cookie bases. I’d be more specific with what the dessert actually was, but alas the waiter never introduced the dessert to us so I don’t know (and the menu was taken away so we couldn’t read what it was either). Overall decent food, but the service and declining vibe really tainted the experience.

Navio in Half Moon Bay is a dining oasis that deserves every bit of its five-star acclaim. The culinary journey begins with an extraordinary Black Caviar starter – a symphony of flavors and textures that elevates the dining experience. The presentation is as exquisite as the taste, setting the tone for the gastronomic adventure that follows. The Trout is a masterpiece, perfectly cooked to tender perfection, with a delicate balance of flavors that harmonize on the palate. The Wagyu Tartar is a revelation, showcasing the premium quality of the beef with each bite. The richness of the wagyu is complemented by expertly chosen accompaniments, creating a dish that tantalizes the taste buds. The highlight, however, is the Lamb Rack – a culinary masterpiece that defines indulgence. Cooked to perfection, the lamb is succulent, flavorful, and accompanied by thoughtfully selected sides that enhance the overall experience. The marriage of textures and tastes in this dish is nothing short of extraordinary.Throughout the dining experience at Navio, the attention to detail is impeccable. The staff is not only attentive but also well-versed in the intricacies of the menu, providing recommendations that enhance the overall experience. Navio stands as a beacon of culinary excellence, where each dish tells a story of craftsmanship and passion. A visit to this establishment is not just a meal; it's a celebration of exceptional food and unparalleled hospitality.

Dante started off by detailing the brunch buffet. When we thought he was done because there was a dramatic pause, he scolded us for interrupting him (to say we're ready to order), and said he wouldn't repeat himself again. Subsequently, his attitude remained hostile, quiet and his service became passive. Orders that we never took down kept going to our table, and we weren't certain whether it started at the kitchen or with the servers. Doing the absolute bare minimum, he set the tone for what was an unremarkable meal, that we don't expect when we pay that amount of money. The food wasn't worth it either. Some positives are the atmosphere, the views, and the hostess. You get an ample amount of time to try everything.
