Easter Brunch at the Ritz Carlton Half Moon Bay. We have been going to their Easter Brunch since I was a kid but this is my first review. RC Easter Brunch is one of the best in the world and definitely the BEST Ritz Carlton Brunch anywhere...and I have tried oh so many! We ordered for appetizers: Pan seared Scallop, Smoked Salmon, Flavored Oysters, Flight of Caviar (two), Flight of Marin County Cheese, Classic Benedict and Blue Prawns with cocktail sauce. They were all petite sizes which were meant to tease and tickle our taste buds. For entrees tapas sized we had Westholme A9 Ribeye, Lobster Tail and Wagyu Beef Sliders. Lastly we ordered the Cake Tower for two with Four different desserts. We were also given a piece of Chocolate in a fancy Ritz Carlton box. The Easter Brunch was so worthwhile in driving distance, bespoke service and exceptional food quality. We dined at 10am and did not eat anything else for the day.

So I took my mom to what I considered a really nice Christmas buffet. While there she asked me if I had ever been to the brunch at Ritz Carlton Halfmoon Bay. She said, " I heard it's really nice?". Translation= " I want you to take me there!" I decided to take her for Easter Brunch. This was my only second time here and it's a lot different than my first experience. The first time I came for brunch 7 years ago, it was more of a " buffett" style where you went on your own to the tables and picked what you want to eat. This time around, you get to pick 2 items at a time and pretty much as many times as you want or your belly can fill up within 1.5 hours and leaving 30 minutes for dessert. The ambiance here was simply elegant and classy. Loved how they decorated the reataurant and hotel for Easter w/ flowers and eggs everywhere. A costumed bunny even walked around to say hello! Service: excellent! Food: Sweet like chocolate chip pancakes to savory pasta and lobster... Nice selection of items and well executed. My favorites that I ordered 2x were the pan seared scallop and the lobster w/ beure blanc sauce. I asked the server if the menu was different on a regular Sunday brunch. He told me not much since most of the core items will be there along with more seasonal items offered. There is a 50 dollar charge for parking. And the price per person for Easter was $255. Overall, my mom Loved it! I highly recommend the Sunday brunch here for special occasions. I hope to come back soon and hopefully before another 7 years goes by!

For our 10th anniversary, I decided to make a reservation at Navio inside the Ritz-Carlton, Half Moon Bay, for their two-hour buffet, which cost about $200 per person. Upon arrival, valet service was available, and the customer service was friendly, courteous, and attentive. We arrived a little early, so the hostess led us to the bar for refreshments until our reservation time. We had to check back with the hostess to be seated, but once we were seated, the transition was smooth. Our waiter introduced themselves, presented the menu, and made us feel at home. We ordered items from the top to the bottom of the menu. There were a handful of items I was looking forward to trying, including the SMOKED SALMON (Potato Rosti Caviar), PAN-SEARED SCALLOP (Truffle Polenta | Chive Oil), BENEDICT (Canadian Bacon | Berarneiese), WAGYU BEEF SLIDER (Shiitake Mushroom), LOBSTER (Beurre Blanc Smoked Trout Caviar), Beef Tenderloin (Pork Wine Reduction Potato "Parmentier"), and Lamb Rack (Sweet Peas Fresh Mint). While all the dishes were good, one that stood out was the PUMPKIN SOUP (Pepitas Pumpkin Oil). Surprisingly, it surpassed my expectations with its rich flavor and delightful aroma. Admittedly, I may be biased due to my fondness for fall-themed dishes. The SMOKED SALMON had a nice smoky flavor, but the WAGYU BEEF SLIDER was disappointingly dry. The SCALLOP was perfectly cooked, but the LOBSTER was slightly rubbery. The Beef Tenderloin was chewy, and the Lamb Rack was decent but not exceptional. Overall, the dishes were good, but nothing blew my mind enough to warrant a return visit. The sauces were subtle, making them less memorable. However, I must commend the restaurant on their seafood dishes which were better than their meat dishes. The outstanding customer service made the experience enjoyable, and the decor was definitely Instagram-worthy. The view of the ocean added to the ambiance, making it a memorable dining experience despite some minor flaws. Ambience 9/10 Customer service 9/10 Food 7.5/10 3.7 star

Venturing to Half Moon Bay, I embarked on the renowned two-hour brunch experience at Navio, nestled in the illustrious Ritz Carlton hotel. Valet parking is the sole option, priced at $70, or alternatively, one can opt for an Uber due to the absence of self-parking. Upon arrival, a warm host guided us to our seats, kickstarting the culinary journey with a complimentary mimosa - a delightful bubbly treat. Skipping the menu, the brunch featured a selection of appetizers and main entrees, allowing each person to order two items per round. The variety was extensive, ensuring a taste of everything before proceeding to the next rotation. I began with a cheese selection and a decent yet unremarkable caviar. The standout was a pumpkin soup with nuts, delivering warmth and comfort. Moving on to made-to-order main entrees, the lobster and scallop stole the show, albeit leaning towards the saltier side. The filet mignon with a sauce and lamb chop were satisfactory, with each serving being a delectable bite. After three rounds, satisfaction mingled with fullness. Dessert options were generously presented, and any unconquered delights could be conveniently packed for later. The impeccable service featured attentive waitstaff, consistently clearing plates, and ensuring a seamless and satisfying experience.

I give this place 4 star rating. Alright. It's about 199.99 plus tax and tips for one person brunch. Since the price was high, I had to compare this place with other very fine dining places where I have been to (SFO, Vegas, Miami, HKG etc). With that price, we have to expect a very high quality of food and services. I have to say this place has an amazing view facing Pacific Ocean. The decoration and the hotel itself did give me a bit of classy feeling. The time I was there the place was not packed, which I liked. Quiet and relaxing. So I wanted to enjoy myself by not taking any pictures of the food. I didn't want to be "that person" who needed to take pictures of food all the damn time. I also wanted to respect the place and the atmosphere. It's all you can eat brunch. I can order as many times as I like within 2 hours period. I was allowed to only order two dishes at a time. My server had a very good timing to come by to help us order once we were finished dishes. Chefs always looked for perfection and consistency on every dish.I had total of 4 people and we tried all the food on the menu. I started off with caviar tasting and smoked salmon. The caviar was alright to me, but the smoked salmon with crispy potato opened my appetite. Then I ordered wagyu beef slider and lobster. Wagyu beef was not fully 100% wagyu. It's mixed. The slider also had a piece of pork belly in it. The fat from pork belly did ruin the taste of wagyu. So I had to take the pork belly, so I could try to taste the wagyu. Although it's not 100% wagyu, but it tasted pretty good with mushroom and sauce. I had this slider 3x. The lobster was fresh enough for me to have it 2x. I also had beef tenderloin. This was a filling piece and it was nicely cooked which was medium rare. The scallop was fresh and its surface was crispy enough for me to know that it's cooked and had good texture. Cavatelli, to me, was like very fancy mac n cheese with black truffle. This was very filling as well. I also tried their waffles and they did a good job on it by making it fresh, crispy, with nice real berries and sauce. Since I liked it, I was like okay... let me get the benedict and the chocolate chips pancakes. Both turned out to be... just okay. The dessert tower happened at the end. I took a picture of them because they were nicely decorated. I really liked the lavender one which was on the top and the peach one which was in the middle. The honeycomb and the chocolate one were just okay. Alright. the quality of food here was slightly above mediocre, compared to other places with similar prices. BUT the services were exceptionally good. And the view? no places can beat this. Oh yup. Almost forgot to tell you that you are required to use valent parking and it's 50 bucks for weekends. I think this was ridiculous since I came here for brunch. It should be complimented. This place can be a good place for dates or a small groups of people. I think coming this place was like one time experience for me. Should you come? I let you decide!

I am absolutely in love with Navio. We went there for our 10th wedding anniversary and could not have chosen a better place to celebrate. Outstanding service, Victoria, Jeff and whole team made us feel welcome from the first second. Food, atmosphere, views, interior design, everything was just perfect. We had our 2 year old toddler with us and were worried how everything would go. And he fell in love with everyone and the food too. He got water in a special kids cup, crayons and paper to color, looked out of the window and enjoyed music. He also ate much better than usual and received a whole box of cookies to enjoy on the way home. We are very grateful to all Navio team for such a wonderful experience and will be coming back again and again.

Weekend brunch $199 per person. Window seating $50 per person Parking $50 Total meal for two : over $600 which includes tip This is the definition of a bougie brunch. Took my husband here for a birthday meal. Made reservations online via Tock. Restaurant opens up at 10am and you will have to pay extra to sit by the window to overlook the ocean. Comes with complimentary bread and butter (don't fill up on these ) Complimentary mimosa ( 1 glass each) and a small serving of a juice smoothie (1-2 oz) . All the items on the menu are all you can eat. Each person can order two dishes at a time. The server will serve all the dishes beautifully plated to you. I recommend each person order different dishes to be able to try the whole menu. There is a lot of stuff on there and it's tough to try everything. Our favorite bites : Scallop 10/10 hands down. Served with truffle polenta. This was very flavorful. Ordered two of these each person. Lobster - served with caviar. Also very tasty bite. Crab cake - delicious and plenty of crab Smoked salmon on potato pancake - also tasty topped with caviar and the crunch of potato pancake was similar to hash brown Benedict - the Benedict was very tasty Belgian waffle - served with homemade whipped cream. Cavatappi - truffle sauce pasta. Very flavorful. Caviar - you get a sample of three diff caviar with Bellini and creme fraiche.

Navio seems to be a mediocre restaurant disguised as something greater because it is in the Ritz. At first glance, everything seems nice, elegant, and planned. Throughout the brunch we noticed things didn’t seem to be as great as they were. The server would say he would come back to introduce the dish to us but never come back to introduce the dish to us. The second server kept hovering and mumbling to us about whether we were done yet. She’d peak at our food, notice I hadn’t finished eating, say “oh not yet”, and then walk away. This server would be a better fit at a quick service restaurant given her rushing attitude. Lastly, when the dessert tower came, they took all of our utensils and left us with a spoon. Clearly not much thinking involved in this set up. We saw adjacent tables manhandling their cakes trying to get it out of the narrow shelf in the dessert tower. A fork or knife was very much needed for the desserts with hard cookie bases. I’d be more specific with what the dessert actually was, but alas the waiter never introduced the dessert to us so I don’t know (and the menu was taken away so we couldn’t read what it was either). Overall decent food, but the service and declining vibe really tainted the experience.

Navio in Half Moon Bay is a dining oasis that deserves every bit of its five-star acclaim. The culinary journey begins with an extraordinary Black Caviar starter – a symphony of flavors and textures that elevates the dining experience. The presentation is as exquisite as the taste, setting the tone for the gastronomic adventure that follows. The Trout is a masterpiece, perfectly cooked to tender perfection, with a delicate balance of flavors that harmonize on the palate. The Wagyu Tartar is a revelation, showcasing the premium quality of the beef with each bite. The richness of the wagyu is complemented by expertly chosen accompaniments, creating a dish that tantalizes the taste buds. The highlight, however, is the Lamb Rack – a culinary masterpiece that defines indulgence. Cooked to perfection, the lamb is succulent, flavorful, and accompanied by thoughtfully selected sides that enhance the overall experience. The marriage of textures and tastes in this dish is nothing short of extraordinary.Throughout the dining experience at Navio, the attention to detail is impeccable. The staff is not only attentive but also well-versed in the intricacies of the menu, providing recommendations that enhance the overall experience. Navio stands as a beacon of culinary excellence, where each dish tells a story of craftsmanship and passion. A visit to this establishment is not just a meal; it's a celebration of exceptional food and unparalleled hospitality.Parking: Hotel parking

The food was excellent and the staff lovely, but I have not heard back after four attempts to get my $200 deposit back. Three calls and an email are all unreturned. Very disappointing service - I expect much more from the Ritz and definitely want my money back. Also, beware that a premium table location is $50 per person.

What an experience! Let me start by saying the two of us plus a baby rarely eat out at more than $80 total, so this is not something we will experience more than once a year at most. (Around $500 for two plus tip) Price out of the way, what a lovely experience! Our reservation was a breeze. Valet is not free and no self parking but not a problem. The service at entrance and to the end dessert was excellent. I liked that it was small plate tapas style, that allowed us to try everything and then order multiples of those we liked. By the time dessert came, we were stuffed and refused it. The waiter then took the initiative to box up all the desserts to go. Only minor criticism: reservation was made two months in advance for a wedding anniversary. I asked for the best view for this special day and they said they made a note. When arrived we sat in the middle, very ordinary placement. I asked if we could have the window seats but they said they already had reservations

Dante started off by detailing the brunch buffet. When we thought he was done because there was a dramatic pause, he scolded us for interrupting him (to say we're ready to order), and said he wouldn't repeat himself again. Subsequently, his attitude remained hostile, quiet and his service became passive. Orders that we never took down kept going to our table, and we weren't certain whether it started at the kitchen or with the servers. Doing the absolute bare minimum, he set the tone for what was an unremarkable meal, that we don't expect when we pay that amount of money. The food wasn't worth it either. Some positives are the atmosphere, the views, and the hostess. You get an ample amount of time to try everything.

One of the most decadent brunch experiences I have ever had. All you can eat for $249/person within a 2-hour window, and you can order two items at a time from the menu. The service is surprisingly fast, and the staff was definitely very attentive to every need. Beautiful setting inside the Ritz-Carlton Half Moon Bay. Be sure to book ahead as reservations can be hard to come by.

Amazing service and great food! You order two dishes at a time and it comes out within minutes. The service is very on top of it and constantly checks in. Beautiful views of the ocean. Highly recommend trying the scallop, caviar tasting, and smoked salmon.
