Outstanding chowder!!!! I cannot say enough about it, had the chowder in sour dough bowl. It was like stepping back home for a moment. You would think it prepared by a true yankee. I haven't had chowder since last being home in MA 7+ years ago.Restaurant is very clean and waitstaff were so friendly and welcoming .Great all around experience

Went for the lobster rolls and was super happy about how much lobster was in there! Some places skip out, but The Fisherman's Tavern doesn't!The only thing is I wish the roll was a little more evenly toasted. It was kinda burnt when I got it, but it could've been a one-off! Also it can be a little stuffy in there until a customer cracked the second door open to allow for a breeze. So if you're sensitive to that, then just beware. I didn't mind.Oh and clean bathrooms! Customer use only.

The food was good but they took a while to get my order and the service was slow.

Best lobster roll on the west coast- possibly on both coasts(I've been through Maine, Connecticut, and other NE states.) Generous portions, packed with flavor, everything done to perfection. You're missing out if you don't stop in.

Food was exactly what I expected from an elevated seafood spot. Fish tacos were fantastic and the clam chowder was exactly what I wanted. Definitely worth a visit if you're on the Coast. Popular with locals as well.

Meh.... Keep driving. We ordered the fish tacos and fish and chips and they were ok. The fish taco had a special green tortilla, but it didn't affect or increase any flavor. The dishes were all average. They were not bad, but it was average.

Very good fish n chips. Tartar sauce was excellent, I loved that they served it with cocktail sauce and not just ketchup.

I got a crab cocktail which is just 5.5 oz of lump meat crab with a side of lemon and cocktail sauce. It was literally some of the freshest crab I've ever had and would definitely go back. If you love crab I highly recommend it.

The food is good but they decide to be open and closed at whatever times they want, and when you drive far to get it, it screws you over

Really fresh fish, cooked to perfection. Possibly the best fish'n chips I've ever had.

The food and the menu has totally changed since the last time I was here.Fish and chips are totally different and ridiculously good. Clam chowder is still the same which is great and they have some new menu items that blew my mind coming from a Fish Market type of restaurant. They even had curry! Their short rib pasta was insane and the fish tacos and chicken wings are the best on the Coast. And holy cannoli those brussel sprouts were by far the best I've ever had; with sunchoke chips on top no less!Kids loved the fries and we just noticed that it is only the third place anywhere on the Coast that plays sports on their big screens. Decent beer and wine selection though.Definitely worth the time and effort to stop in.....especially when we're stuck in traffic.

I'm from New England and have had a lifetime of lobster rolls. I've also had great meals here before. Unfortunately this was the worst lobster roll I've ever had. Very dry and sour tasting. No mayo or anything to brighten the taste. Couldn't finish. One Roll with cup of delicious clam chowder and a draft beer was $62. Nuff said.

Ridiculously good food and well worth the drive getting there. For starters the seafood is amazingly fresh and delicious with crab that is next level and prawns the size of my hands. Flavors of the ceviche meld together and mix harmoniously, finished with basil oil complimenting the citrus perfectly. Halibut so fresh it was as if they were caught just before reaching our table. And please do not get me started on the Brussels sprouts. Perfectly balanced between the sweetness of the agave with the unctuous umami goodness of the fish sauce. Tossed in are the thinnest sun choke chips cooked in duck fat adding a layer that's delicately crunchy. The pull apart Parker rolls perfectly baked and with buttery texture topped with freshly grated Parmesan. What made this experience over the top was the stellar unassuming service. The chef is super friendly and approachable with staff that is courteous, attentive and knowledgeable. And we will definitely be going back again and again as this was a wonderful experience.
