Second time to Al Watan. You don't come here for the ambience or service but for the food. Overall I would said the food is good as we tried the different number of dishes. We tried the tandoori platter, samosa and lamb and chicken briyani. It was an enjoyable meal especially with 6 of us sharing the meal.

I ordered Vegerian food.. but none of the dishes ( Paneer Butter Masala or Vegetable Briyani) was good at all. This resturant is not at all good for Vegetarian food as per my experience.

Careless service, chaotic ambiance. Food tastes bland and cheap, not worth the price.

Chicken korma, tandoori chicken , naan bread with sesame in it ( first for me), mango lassi ( very good and a Lot!) and rice Lassi was excellent Ch korma was spicy and flavourful. But the chicken were very small pieces and on the bone. I had to keep fishing out small bones. The chicken was tender , thigh meat Naan bread was very good as was the rice. The chicken tandoori nice flavour tender but not juicy but not bad at all. Portions were huge !! Service was amiable and good suggesting from the waiter. Definitely try it out and I would come back and try other dishes. The 4 star is because of the small Pieces of chicken and the bones. Ambiance very casual simple

Just tried Al Watan for the first time and let me tell you, it is amazing! Insanely delicious food and really great customer service. I was even offered traditional Pakistani milk tea while I waited and it was really tasty. I ordered the chicken tikka masala with garlic naan and a side of rice. I'm eating it as we speak and felt compelled to leave a review. Apparently they've been there for 40 years so they know that they're doing! Check them out, you won't be disappointed!!!

I am from Colorado visiting LA. Googled Pakistani Halal food and found several. Finally decided to come to this restaurant because of good reviews. And sure everything was just perfect. Order was taken right away, food served on time several employees followed up on if everything was ok. Next time I am in LA this will be my go to place. One could have a lunch during lunch break be in and out within 30 minutes.

Very disappointed, I came again after long time may be 10+ years, previously when I visited Los Angeles it was ok food then. Today food was simply sucks I order Goat biryani I am sure it wasn't taste like biryani at all I am sure they simply mix plain rice with some goat Kardhai or Qorma that was not good either, only Naan was good & chai was good, goat kadhai we order we left after eating couple of bite, total waist of money, I believe they're in business because not too many Pakistani Restaurants in the area. Or maybe I am from Chicago and we have best Pakistani food on Devon Ave. ???

This restaurant have Fake reviews and is fake advertising This place is not worth it at all overpriced and overrated and the food is tasteless and poorly served and small portions and it’s not like dress food it’s like canned food but in detail Let's start from the parking it’s not convenient then once you go inside employee were so rude and we asked for table and he said just sit and when we asked where he said aggressively that middle table like damn bro clam you self down after looking at the menu and we decided what we wanted and had to wait like 20min for someone to take our order even though there were so many employees and it wasn’t that busy finally after waiting forever we had to like go and call someone from the front to take our order and we gave our order and waited for our food after the food arrived firstly badly served and presented then the food is supposed to be Pakistani and I was born in Pakistan and have had Pakistani food all over the US but this food was absolutely not even worth a penny like it’s tasteless and disgusting the biryani we orders was there special dum biryani but it tasted like boxed premade biryani that they just warmed up and served the the charga chicken was absolutely not the way cherga is supposed to be cooked and tasted really bad and nihari which was there house special doesn’t even taste close what nihari taste like it tasted like something I’ve never had before and never will cuz it was so bad and the thing is nihari is my most favorite food now come to drink I ordered mango shake and that tasted like it was made with yougert not milk and it was not cold at all and not just that it tasted like mango lassi but I ordered shake like wow i was traveling here from NYC so tried their food but don’t recommend just for this much food I paid about $90

Average food. Hard to eat BBQ (dry). Nihari and biryani was good. Forgot to bring an item that we ordered. Limited parking on street. Hazardous while parking. Service must improve. Servers more interested in getting tips than providing you with good service.

This place is one of my family’s favorites, we’ve been going for almost 15 years! Their Chicken Tikka Masala is our favorite, it’s the best curry because it’s very rich and creamy, but unfortunately it is a little overly oily. Still, it’s a must try! Also, it’s a nice place to dine in; tables are nice, very easy to watch the TV. Service is very good too, although sometimes a little overly busy in the evenings.Vegetarian options: They’ve got Chana curry and other good vegetarian options

Flavorful Pakistani food I've eaten. I had the Nihari consisting of the slow-cooked and soft beef. The broth was fragrant with a ginger flavor tone. the freshly baked garlic naan was a wonderful mop for the delicious Nihari sauce. There is a lot of variety, and prices are decent. The service was friendly and fast.

The food was mediocre. We came here because the reviews were good, but the food was nothing like that. Definitely not worth the money.
