Azucanela is such a charming coffee shop! The atmosphere is peaceful and inviting, with beautiful decor that makes it feel cozy and special. I really enjoyed the coffee, it was rich and delicious. I tried the churro too; it had great flavor, though it was slightly undercooked. Still, this spot is definitely a hidden gem worth visiting!
Charming place. Great strong coffee and treats!
Took an hour to get two churros and two coffees, granted they were pretty good but I wouldn’t recommend this place if you needed something quick… or within a reasonable amount of time.
Aside from that the atmosphere was very welcoming and the patio was large, vibrant, and fun with a variety of games to entertain your hour long wait for a churro and cup of coffee.
I used to really enjoy this place and have ordered from them multiple times through DoorDash, or had my husband pick up my drinks. The quality of their drinks is consistently good, which is what kept me coming back.
However, my experience changed when I visited the shop in person for the first time yesterday. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. An older woman who I believe may be the owner, was very rude. There was no greeting, just a cold, unfriendly stare directed at my sister and me. Thankfully, the younger woman who helped us (possibly her daughter) was very kind and professional, which helped balance out the experience a bit.
Because of this, I’ll probably just stick to ordering delivery moving forward.
Great coffee and churros! Cute patio and a nice place to hang out with friends. Plus wifi and good hours!
It’s been getting cold out and we were craving cozy hot drinks. Unfortunately, this place was not it. I ordered the “Atole de Arroz” but it was literally steamed milk. No rice or raisins (sign said it was supposed to have these) My husband ordered a Champurado and it was so bland and just steamed milk with chocolate. Churros were fine, not bad at all. Over all, disappointing in the drinks.

Local cafe for the neighborhood where it is located. I ate the churros and thought they were very good.

I ordered avocado toast for breakfast. The portion might have satisfied a 2 yr old as a snack. It consisted of a small piece of hard bread with a few very thin slices from a very small avocado, three slivers of radish and a few drops of olive oil. No wonder the place was completely empty at 9:00 in the morning

Great restaurant, and the service was outstanding. Our server, Miley was friendly. They greeted us warmly, made excellent menu recommendations, and ensured that our dining experience was smooth and enjoyable.

Very cool place to sit for a few hours - one of the best lattes I've had in LA. Will definitely be coming back!

Gave this place multiple tries. But whoever that older Hispanic lady is needs to improve customer service. She acts so offended when you attempt to order. Condescending and extremely rude. Not sure why the owner has not addressed this issue even after all the bad reviews on her. Def not coming back!

My first time there. Unfortunately there was only 1 worker at the time I was there. And she was busy fulfilling a huge order with only 1 working deep fryer. So I left. I was so disappointed. The churros looked good on their website.
