This place is really cool! The food is delicious, the service is impecable (Gaby was my waitress) and the live music is superb. Samantha the singer plays her guitar and makes you feel in heaven, her voice and style is so unique and soothing with an edge, she is also gorgeous and kind, she sings famous pop/rock/country songs. I’ll keep coming back and recommend it.

First of all, we usually look for seafood restaurants in the area when we are out of town. This restaurant popped up, and we thought we would give it a try. It wasn't our first choice, and now I know why. The service was horrible. They did not have unsweetened iced tea, so they thought they would bring us sweetened tea and not notice. I guess they don't care if you may be diabetic or not. Secondly, they sold lobster rolls that are famous 😳. We have had better. I ordered the fish and chips. The batter to the fish and the inner meat part of the fish was so disgustingly salty along with the fries. When I first walked in, I told the hostess that it was our first time and she looked at me like a" who cares attitude". When the server came, he didn't even bother bringing us silverware or napkins to our table. We will never be back to this establishment. Don't spend your hard earned money on businesses that hire employees with no people skills and work ethics or hospitality.

We stopped here to watch the Dodgers beat SD. Wandering around Hermosa besch looking for good food and tvs. Natalie convinced us to walk in and give the place a chance and we were extremely happy we did. Food was bomb. Wings, sliders, shoestring fries and lobster roll all delicious, good brews and excellent service. Thanks Natalie and the crew at Coastal for being awesome.

Stop by here to enjoy the ambiance and delicious food. Good seating indoor or out and happy hour 7 days a week from 4pm-6pm, they also have the best wings in the South Bay imo. Very dog friendly as well

I was visiting from Chicago and excited to find a Chicago Bears bar so I stopped in for a quick bite of mussels. The service was great but the food was not. The mussels taster like they were microwaved, and I tried to eat them but ended up asking how they were prepared. They are made on a conveyor belt toaster oven...like Quiznos ? I wasn't able to eat more than 3, as they were very rubbery and inedible. They didnt charge me for the mussels but that was only because I told them I'm sorry but couldn't eat them. I appreciate that but for those who purchase and dont speak up, will be very disappointed. The ambiance is great but food is lacking. They also do not serve liquor, wine & beer only.

Excellent seafood restaurant with a typical SoCal laidback beach vibe! It is close to the pier so parking was a bit hassle. Other than that, we truly enjoyed our group lunch here!
I was browsing for restaurant options on Hermosa Beach for our friend gathering and made a reservation in the semi open Listening Room for a party of 15. The staff took great care of us. They not only replied promptly to confirm all details (we asked for TV hookup to watch Olympics), they also provided excellent service and took great care for our lunch.
We ordered a few rolls which include the famous Maine roll with lobster, a few plates for chicken wings (lemon/pepper, bbq, buffalo), ceviche, and some burgers. Everything was excellent except for ceviche which I would say probably better off ordering from a Mexican restaurant. But lobster roll was a bomb! I also like their side of sweet potatoes they go with the rolls.

LEGIT! Love this place! Born and raised in Chicago and lived in New England for ten years, I can say this place is the real deal with a dash of socal. All any curious Chicagoan needs to know is the Chicago dog is made with Vienna beef and ALL the proper toppings. THE RIGHT WAY, THE ONLY WAY! So happy I found a new home in my neighborhood. Great dogs, burgers, sammiches, chowda, and mozz sticks! That's all I've tried so far in my two visits. I'll certainly be back for more. Especially on Sunday.

I really wanna like this place since it’s just a few blocks from my house, but the quality of food is really not very good.

My friend and I (and my doggy) checked this place out this afternoon and I am still drooling over the lobster roll. We tried the Connecticut roll with sweet potato fries and all I can say is “omg so yum!”” Great service, the server let us try a few beer tasters and had some great recommendations, we also got the chance to meet the owner. Overall, great experience and freaking amazing food! I will definitely be back!
