Wonderful find at the Livermore Farmers Market. Tamales are delicious. The masa was so light and tasty and I love the filling to masa ratio.

I am a few months pregnant and battling with morning sickness/nausea but the only food my baby craves is TAMALES but not any kind of Tamales.... only Alicias's tamales! That is right! lolI am Hispanic myself and I confirm these are super delicious! They have amazing flavors and different varieties. More importantly Alicias tamales use very wholesome nutritious ingredients making them authentic but the healthiest I have ever tried. They are super easy to reheat. favorite fillings are Chicken, Pork, Mushroom and Rajas. I really hope we could see Alicias Tamales at Whole Foods, Costco or Safeway I can definitely see these being a great hit! Don't forget to buy salsa with your tamales! Very good! My favorite Chicken with Green Salsa and Pork with Red Salsa, Mushroom with Green Salsa. I can definitely see these being a great success for parties. You can find Alicia at Farmers Market in San Ramon most Saturday! Thank you to Alicia and her team for such amazing QUALITY!

(Translated by Google) You cannot value more highly, a place where employees are mistreated, who suffer harassment and humiliation and who are made to enter at the time they want in the early morning and sometimes without lunch or minutes of rest and the who are fired simply because they are not to the liking of the cook, but when they needed to get urgent jobs done, they did not care if the workers were enjoying themselves with their family, they did or do work on Saturdays and Sundays, at the time they are told, I don't I would buy in that place, do not buyBesides, this person is not the one who cooks, he steals the recipes!!!(Original)No se puede valorar mas alto, a un lugardonde se le da mal trato a los empleados, los cuales sufren vejaciones y humillaciones y a los cuales hacen entrar a la hora que se les antoje en la madrugada y a veces sin lonche ni minutos de descanso y a los cuales despiden simplemente porque no son del agrado de la cocinera, pero cuando necesitaban sacar trabajos urgentes ,no les importaba si las trabajadoras estaban disfrutando con su familia los hacían o hacen trabajar sábados y domingos, a la,hora que se les hable,yo no compraría en ese lugar.,no comprenaademás está persona no es la que cocina, se roba las recetas!!!

We got catering for a small event & the tamales were a big hit! We had 20 young people with various dietary restrictions and preferences and everyone found something that they enjoyed. As we had many people to feed while being Covid friendly- the individual packaging option was super helpful. Everyone was able to grab a plate and we didn't have to worry about serving dishes or running out. The salsas were tasty and had just the right amount of heat. The different tamales were super flavorful and delicious. We'll be ordering again I'm sure! Big note for us: They were able to accommodate our gluten free dietary restriction as well which is a huge plus!

Spotted these tamales at the La Cocina tent at the Ferry Building Farmers Market on a Saturday. Everything was frozen, so you gotta get it to go and reheat it at home. But dang, these might have been the most delicious frozen tamales I've ever had. Hope to see them at mainstream grocery stores, like Safeway, soon.Chicken Tamale: The shredded chicken itself is moist and tender and has a delicious tomatillo flavoring. And I really appreciate that they aren't skimping with the meat; I hate when tamales turn out to be like 75% masa. In addition to the delicious protein there were some fresh veggies spotted in the mix like carrots, potatoes and peas. It felt very homey. Super satisfying.Pork Tamale: This is more like the kind of tamale I'm familiar with. Lots of tender shredded pork and a few fat pieces for extra taste, in a flavorful sauce. No vegetables or anything, just masa. Didn't seem like a dominant meat ratio as with the chicken tamale, with almost too much masa for the pork. Almost. But it was still good enough for me to gobble down. Overall though, I think I like the chicken better.

I have a friend who lives in Hayward but I can't tell you when I last visited his home. Best guess, at least seven or eight years. This is one of the perks of religiously shopping at the Ferry Farmers Market Saturdays at the Ferry Building. On the first market in March, I walked to the back lot and found this stand at the designated La Cocina location. I studied the menu as she helped a few other customers before ordering. I got the vegan veggie tamales, sold in packages of three (yelp.com/user_local_phot…). The tamales come frozen with heating instructions on the package. After steaming one, I found that it held form very well (yelp.com/user_local_phot…). After steaming it and dousing it with their salsa, I really enjoyed this as there was no shortage of filling (yelp.com/user_local_phot…). Do purchase their salsa Roja chipotle (yelp.com/user_local_phot…) which paired very well with this tamale. A little while later, my friend and I swapped one tamale from our packages so I tried the mushroom one (yelp.com/user_local_phot…). This was okay being pretty one note for me. There was an ample portion of mushrooms but I definitely needed the salsa to give this some bite. Regarding the salsa, do note that their shelf life is limited as, after about a week, my plastic container started to puff up, likely due to the acidity (lime juice?). 3 stars for the food, bumping up a half star for being part of the La Cocina program. The lady at the market was very nice and they actually made another appearance on 4/2/22 at the market. Was thinking about getting the pumpkin mole for a friend but she passed on it. Maybe next time.

My work had Alicia's catered for dinner today and I found a dead fly at the bottom of my salad. Absolutely disgusting. Will never be ordering from this place again.

Ordered mushrooms, veggies and mole tamales. Came delivered almost frozen. Had the veggies ones. They were quite disappointing. All the masa fell apart after steaming. Ratio of masa to contents is not balanced as there's too much masa. Good thing for having veggie vegan options!! But better ones are to be had in Richmond ...

First I would like to start off by saying.. Alicia's tamales are absolutely delicious! I've tried the black bean, chicken, Oaxaca cheese, and veggie. It's hard to pick a favorite but my absolute favorite is a chicken!First was introduced to Alicia's tamales Los Mayas at San Ramon's Farmers Market. I had the pleasure of meeting Alicia, she was very nice and welcoming. I'm giving this reading five stars for the taste, quality, and overall experience. I highly recommend trying if you haven't already!
