Maybe it gets better as you become a regualr; however, I felt detached from the sushi chefs even though I'm sitting at the bar. I like to order what's new/fresh...didnt even know they had engawa till I overheard the chefs discuss their current stock. Plus, the three chefs looked like they were trying to diffuse a nuke with time running out and so you're not inclined to disturb them. Not sure if they enforce their one-hour time limit as I didn't test it. The char, trout, belt fish, and black snapper were a nice add to the menu. Always appreciate room temperature fish; the texture just pops when presented in this manner. Hope to try again.”

“First time here after reading the rave reviews. I ordered the lunch special to go - it didn't feel like I saved any money but the meal was great. It's available on weekdays only from 12pm to 2pm. They have their own little parking lot and entrance is inside once you turn in from the main street.
Cajun Shrimp Rice Plate Lunch Special ($13.95 + $3.00 for fried rice) - Very well balanced meal! The egg roll and fried was a big plus. They are generous with their shrimp and the sauce is delicious. Would go back to try everything else.”

“Came here twice so far. First time it was great. Second time I came on my birthday and the owner gave me extra chicken pieces. She is so sweet and kind. The bulgogi burger was tender and juicy. I loved that there were fermented onions in it. And the vanilla milkshake was creamy and honestly gives the In and Out milkshakes a run for their money. Hard to pick which one is my favorite.

The owner told us he brought the recipe for the fried pickles here with him from Arkansas and they were hands down the best I’ve had- super light but extremely flavorful. And the in-house made BBQ sauce was incredible. Highly recommend!”

“This spot is a food truck completely covered in graffiti and permanently stationed inside the parking lot of a convenience store. You’ll need a keen eye to find them, but the Hotboys name and logo are on that truck. I had to do a second take to be sure I was in the right place. Also, other folks walking past the food truck was my only clue that there’s a nook with more tables nearby.
I could swear that the chicken tender meal has more chicken than the sandwich, and those were THICK tenders, let me tell you. Each one had to weigh at least 4 ounces. You can’t see it, but the tenders come with a piece of Texas-toast-style white bread and pickles on the side.
I decided to give my tear ducts a break and went for Medium this time. I teared up once . . . but I swear it was the sun. LOL. For me, including toast is extraneous, as I ordered a chicken tender combo specifically to avoid bread. But a plain slice of white bread is a very southern touch, so I can’t hand out a demerit for my personal preference. I just didn’t eat it.
The crinkle-cut fries come tossed in an addicting and light Cajun seasoning. They’re served with the same money dipping sauce that comes on top of the sandwich. I liked it more for dipping than poured on the sandwich.”

“This place was a hit. It was a little hidden gem that my daughter and I stopped in after catching a movie at Southland Mall. They have a variety of tease lemonades and Boba drinks even some iced coffees as well and if you’re hungry, they have some appetizing snacks that you can grab like chicken strips french fries that you can have toppings of garlic fries or other seasonings and if you want something sweet they have something that I love funnel cakes. My daughter has something called a waffle on a stick, which is something that I’m interested in trying next time. The Nutella was creamy and it was warm and it came with a little side of vanilla ice cream. She loved it. It looks so yummy. I wish that I had gotten one as well. I can’t wait to go back and if you’re ever in the area, you should definitely stop by and grab one a bonus was that the girls were super knowledgeable of the menu and had plenty of tips to recommend. I only ended up getting a fruited lemonade, which was so good because the toppings inside were made from fresh fruits not those that were sleeping in syrup. I can’t wait to go back and try something new. The girls that worked there were super friendly and they provided great service.”

“I've been going to The Mexican for years. The food was top notch with an awesome tequila bar. I went in last Saturday, Dec. 21st, 2024 at 5pm and it was empty. That in itself seemed strange. We got seated. No water. No Chips and Salsa. We received menus and that was why it was empty. You're paying for everything at 25% to 45% more than before with many meals and all Combinations GONE. To get a Taco, an Enchilada with Rice and Beans was $38... That's INSANE... We walked out and sadly will never return... He's the same reason Buffalo Bills was a ghost town at 430pm on a Saturday. Went there the day before and it's the same - prices 25% to 50% higher. Out of 3 popular beers. No milk. Menu changes for the worse. Miss Bill and the good food and great atmosphere that used to be since 1983. Another spot I'll never go back to...”

“This place is worth a shot! We did AYCE on Sunday afternoon and were seated immediately. The price matches the quality of the fish similar to kaiten sushi. The service was really kind and quick. There’s an easy online ordering system after they took our initial order.
Appetizers:Get the takoyaki! Good balance of ingredients. Skip the karaage and shrimp tempura — it’s too much batter and gets hard/tough instead of being light and fluffy.
Rolls: The Cherry Blossom roll was our favorite with the tuna and salmon tasting fresh. The scallop king roll was skippable - it was just a warm California roll.
Everything else: Fresh salmon sashimi. The Omakase box was good - definitely a must order. The Walu tataki is a skip but maybe it’s just that the texture wasn’t for me.”

Management, both named Jocelyn need to be reprimanded for the reporting they reviewed cameras and that it resulted in me being untruthful. “Buffalo wild wings was a hit a fellow Mom and I took our daughters here for a lunch date after school on a Friday. Surprisingly, we walked right in and were able to be seated. Our server came and at first it seemed as though there was going to be a bad service experience as it started off with a little confusion. However, it was swiftly corrected and we were back on track. The kids ordered boneless chicken with fries and a drink, the mom and I enjoyed the create your own app and of course we both enjoyed a margarita after a long week. And oh boy, the margarita was excellent. The peach flavor that I asked for was sensational. I can’t wait to go back to order another one. Our food was good. It came out all at the same time so we were all able to eat and enjoy our time together, we did order the chicken buffalo dip as an appetizer, which was yummy as I had never experienced that appetizer before definitely a good place for fast, friendly service and good food. If you don’t know what you want because they do have a lot of nice options. The only thing that was a downside was our server did not recommend any type of specials or deals the boneless chicken wings fries and a drink. We’re about to be ordered separately and make our bill almost triple however, I happen to turn the menu over and saw that there was a special that the girls could actually select what they were paying for separately at a higher amount as part of the deal so we had to ask for the items to be made under the deal. Otherwise the server would not have offered that to us. I’m not sure if she was new and wasn’t aware of the daily menu special that appears to be every day or if she just did not want to offer it in order to help boo sales either way, it was kind of disappointing”

The down: someone ordered a chicken sandwich in there order and when picking up at the counter I over heard that they were out of the product. It would of been nice to know at the time of the ordering they were out instead paying and finding out later. Grant it, it was busy but I did over hear the supervisor several times attend the cash register. I am Latino and I know Spanish, but there was a lot of talking going on in the kitchen. I believe out of respect for the customers talking should be to a minimum. This could be the reason for their inefficiencies.”
