“Great Thai in the East bay! I have a go-to delivery Thai place closer to my house but I wanted to give a new place a try. Chai Thai has a great menu, from appetizers to curries to noddles. I ordered Pad Thai with pork, side of fried eggs and an order or chive cakes (gui chai). The food arrived ready to eat and all was delicious. The Pad Thai had great flavor. I love when you get a nice portion of each of the ingredients; meat to tofu to eggs to green onion to sprouts. Each bite had everything. Can't wait to order again from Chai Thai!“
“We love this place! It's a great location and it has a great outdoor garden/bar patio. In the summer/spring it's fun to go and see the bands play in the patio. Great place to met friends for a drink and some laughs. Drink prices are on the cheaper end.“

“Yes total hole in the wall dive bar thats visited by locals. Everyone seems to know each other and have a good time. My friend was there celebrating her bday so I went. They have 2 pool tables some seats and bar area of course. It was cool in there on a hot day. Drinks were strong and priced very reasonable with a kick a** bartender lady that held it down all night even though she was super busy. Not much food I saw chips. But they also have coffee if you need to sober up. Parking in the back as well as the smoking area for all the smokers. I had fun with my friends and tried new drinks. I was surprised how cheap it all was.“

There was a fight there?!!?? Sureee....ANYWAYFirst time I came here around a holiday, there was food galore & that continues. Art's brisket on Sundays is to die for & Roz has hamburgers & hotdogs Fridays & Saturdays. They take their pool seriously, have the occasional chili contest, bingo & karaoke...every other Thursday? Roz is great as is Andrew & a coupla newbies are coming along as well. It's a lovely neighborhood bar- come on down-“
“Leslie is the best!! My friend and I stopped in on a whim last week and Leslie hooked us up! I'm a big IPA gal but my friend isn't so Leslie let us try a few beers to see which one we wanted. The Funky Monkey is definitely dive-y and unassuming. The prices for the chips+salsa and beers we got were beyond reasonable, probably the best I've seen in the Bay Area in a long time. Anyway, Leslie is a hoot and we'll definitely be back to see her again“
“Me and my family ordered the Pupusa Loca plate to share and it was amazing! I loved the how light, but flavorful the Pupusas were and how balanced they tasted with the Cabbage salad. The service and atmosphere was great; the place can get crowdy with the close seating, but overall the food is delicious and service is Superb.“
