Kansai Hayward offers a cozy and clean dining experience, with delicious Bento boxes and a variety of rolls. The bento lunch specials are popular choices, and appetizers like potato croquettes, gyoza, and perfectly cooked edamame are phenomenal. The salmon sashimi is delightfully fresh. Sushis are reasonably priced with big portions and fresh. The bento box combos have big portions and the beef is tender. Food is amazing, prices are reasonable, and service is amazing and friendly. However, the seating is a nightmare—it’s way too small and you can hear everyone’s conversations. The veggie gyoza was on point, takoyaki was solid, and tonkatsu was fire. Both the normal tuna and the shiro maguro were excellent and clearly very fresh. Portions are great and you definitely feel satisfied.
