“What a GEM! And a hidden one at that.Celebrated Thanksgiving a bit early with #ThankYouThursday and decided to check out pot pie paradise after seeing the great reviews on Yelp. I'm not normally a pot pie type of person, but with the cold weather, it was definitely the way to go.Pot Pie Paradise is nestled in an industrial part of Hayward so it's a bit of a drive through back roads to get there. They've got a decent parking lot and when I stopped by after lunch time, it wasn't too busy. They have a really helpful menu that shows all the options they have for pies, sandwiches, and other lunch choices. It's also updated to show which pies they're sold out of. I wanted to try the bulgogi beef but unfortunately they were sold out that day. Instead, I went for the Thai chicken curry. The Thai chicken curry pot pie ($10) had noodles, green beans, chicken, and carrots in it. It was delicious! I don't usually have noodles with thai chicken curry but it worked here. It's a pretty good portion for lunch and can maybe even be shared with two people. Though for me, I ended up just having the rest later for dinner.The service was great and the staff was very helpful. I loved reading the newspaper articles they have posted around the shop as I waited. They've got lots of seating inside if you prefer to dine in but I opted to take it to-go.Such a great local business! I'll definitely be back to try other pot pie options.“

“A un assuming old style Mexican food restaurant. Flavor filled salsa with a spicy chili kick.. un like other Bay Area salsas. De Ajo is garlic heavy as it should be so close to the garlic capital city ... and surprisingly light in taste without heavy oil. Red sauce reminds me of a red chili ground down just for the purpose to accompany and make a statement muy rica. Great find on our way south.“
“Came here with some friends right before their happy hour ended but Gina was so nice and decided to honor it for us anyhow! She also brought us soooo many bonchons (note you do have to order an entree for bonchons) We ordered a lot of food which did take some time to trickle out but we understand as Gina seems to be the only server that night. Korean pancake - 4.5/5 I loved this one cause it was thick and very crispy. My friend did say she prefers the pancake at Sisters House tho because it's thinner there Tofu soup - 3.5/5 it was a lil underwhelming and not salty enough and I feel it was missing a little depth of flavor. My friend and I both prefer the tofu soup at Sisters House BBQ Pork Sizzling Platter - wasn't very well charred. I don't usually get sizzling platters but the ones at Sisters House is better The fried chicken - 4.5/5 very good! I liked the crispiness of the chicken and inside was juicy. You do have to pay extra $2 for flavoring or for it to be crispy so keep that in mind. We did dip this into our tteokbokki/sausage sauce which Gina recommended Tteokbokki/sausage skewers - 3/5 I thought it was just okay for the price of what it was lol. I don't love the sausage but the tteokbokki did have a nice lil crisp to it on the outside but with that familiar chew once you get to the center“

“After we ordered within 5 to 10 minutes all 3 were ready. The nice lady put soup on our mini cup. That was a good customer service, but the wonton soup did not taste good at all. Next time I won't order that. Combination Fried Rice was good and not oily. The fried rice here is better than Asian Delight, Yummy Restaurant & Little Namking. Also their honey walnut prawns is very tasty, soft and has the sweet sauce on it. It's perfectly cooked and not hard. So far they have the best walnut shrimp out of all the Asian restaurants I went to. Little namking walnut prawns is very hard and it was so hard that we couldn't even eat it and it didn't had any flavors to it. Also combination fried rice had a decent portion wish they put more and walnut shrimp had 11 pieces only. Great experience here today and my family that moved out of Hayward use to visit this restaurant a lot. The wings is good here but salty.“
“Don't sleep on this place, best fried fish hands down.Don't let the wait scare you, it is worth it. Staff was cool, seems like a family run type spot. Remember its a take out window only and they are busy, know what you want and dont waste time at window wondering or being picky, there are always a lot of people waiting. I ordered fish (red snapper) and prawns, in about 30 mins my order was ready, it traveled well, was not soggy at all when I got home. Everything was bomb, excellent, fish was flaky and fresh. Highly recommended!“
“Realized I forgot to take photos of the food because I was enjoying every bite! It was my first time here and we had a large group of 16. Staff was friendly and accommodating for us. Food came out fast and each dish was told to us as it came out so we knew what we were eating. Portions were good I especially loved the green beans and the salt and pepper pork chop. I didn't even have to ask for more water as they came around multiple times throughout the dinner. For dessert they even brought out mango pudding which was a nice surprise. Would definitely come back to try dim sum.“
“Absolutely amazing chinese food!As someone who travels a lot for work, it’s really difficult to find tasteful Chinese food. I had the sesame chicken with white rice and pork dumplings delivered through Uber Eats. The food arrived hot and smelled amazing.The sesame chicken was perfectly glazed with the right amount of sesame seeds on top of it.The white rice was fluffy, soft, and paired brilliantly.Finally, the pan fried pork dumplings were the best I’ve ever had! They had the an amazing crust on the outside with a mouthwatering filling.If I’m ever back in Hayward I will be sure to get this place again!“
