“We stopped in on a Monday for dinner. Apparently they host a charity each Monday with volunteer servers donating their tips and 10% of the bill to support a cause. A noble action by the owners to support the community. They serve a limited menu, but had what I wanted - pappardelle with pork ragout. Aldente pasta and a rich flavor on the sauce. I devoured the bowl. The portion seemed small, but was just enough.“
“Ordered to go from here for the first time a week ago. Got some of the staples, and the food was definitely better than average as far as to go goes. The restaurant was very authentic and the staff were friendly, great ambiance and I regretted not just going there to dine.“
“I would love to give thanks to ANA, our server, and hands down on both our cooks, JESUS, and CHRIS. It was our first time there, and man, oh man, it was by far the best ever. It was well worth the wait. I'll tell you that. Will i return? I sure will. Thank you again, guys, for the best experience ever. Really great customer service ANA. thank you“
“It's $6.50 for a 3 piece and a biscuit. 80% of the time it comes out right. I got burned a couple times. For the price and the somewhat consistent quality I can't complain. Their competitors have gotten out of hand with the pricing, To be honest this place is just as good if not better. This is supposed to be cheap unhealthy peasant food, Feed the family with a bucket for $10. Now even adjusted for inflation to feed the whole family it's $60 at some of these fried chicken franchises. This place still has realistic prices for what they're serving.“
“I'm not a poke person. I'd stay FAR away from raw fish, and wouldn't appreciate it in the few times I had it. So whenever we came to Poke Don (because my wife loves poke), I'd always opt for the cooked "poke bake." Which is basically like a whole bowl of a deconstructed Lion King roll. And I loved it. For years, I had the poke bake. And it'd be enough if this review ended here. I'd probably give it 5 stars based on their poke bake alone - because I can eat it (since it's cooked) and I enjoy it. But one time, I DID decide to try a regular poke bowl. With little to no raw fish, of course. Unagi, tamago, fake crab, real crab - there's definitely a way to do it. Except I put in one scoop of raw salmon. And to my surprise, I actually didn't mind the blend of everything (including the salmon) with the sauce, rice, and toppings. Even I was shocked that I liked it. Since that day, I'm able to mix up my orders. Sometimes I'll stick with the ol' reliable - the poke bake. And sometimes, I'll get an actual poke bowl - of course with unagi and crab meat. Well, and maybe 2 scoops of salmon too.“
“I found this place by chance while looking for Cajun style shrimp. The place is small and cozy. The flavors were there, the sauce is just a bit lighter and on the oily side than my regular place, but still tasty. The garlic noodles are also very good. My husband asked for chicken wings and they were decent, but nothing special. My biggest complaint is that I was trying to place my order over the phone for take out and the phone was not in service. I know these days you can place orders online, but I was driving so doing the call would have been much easier for me. & If you don't take phone orders that's fine, but then you shouldn't list the number as an option. The prices were fair, the service in person seems to be great so I plan on coming back and trying other things on their menu.“
“So, to begin with. When you see the place from a street, it is not the first choice to swing by, yet when you peek through the window, you'll see an open kitchen with food being cooked nonstop, a hood sign.Inside the place seems a bit crowded, yet you could probably squeeze 8n at the bar if you ask nicely even if you don't have reservation :)And now the food, fantastic italian cusine - the pasta is appropriately aldente, tomato sauce is fantastic, the beef carpaccio blows you away. And in the end you feel guilty if you miss the dessert.I would definitely recommend making a reservation and arrive hungry.Parking in a garage nearby is plenty.“
“Beautiful decor of clean modern lines with a Corporate kind of feel. Cloth napkins though & friendly informed staff. We started with a firecracker salmon roll & then enjoyed our mains . The roll was ok but the bowls were truly tasty. I had the Latin chimichurri bowl with a grilled yellowtail cooked perfectly. Topped with a delicious chimichurri sauce. It was served on a salad dressed nicely. I enjoyed everything in my bowl ,Hubby got the Japanese Wasabi bowl. Very good. We both opted for the regular Size which was a little large but we finished most of it. In hindsight we would share a regular size but double the protein which they will add more or different kinds to the bowl for extra. The coffee was served French press style which was a wonderful surprise & quite tasty. All in all would we go back yes. The service was attentive & friendly. All the food was fresh clean and yummy. 5 stars“
“The best mexican food I've ever had and the nicest customer service. As someone who eats vegetarian try their veggie burrito. Just a bunch of dad's working here trying to feed people like a family. Highly recommend their churros too and horchata. My fiance also loves their chicken tacos and the chicken super burrito.Vegetarian options: Veggie burrito, tacos, churros, quesdillas“
“Solid location for southern food. Price, ambience, service and of course food was great. Though this was my first visit to try this spot. The food was great which deserves a re-visit so I can try their other dishes like the fried catfish plate. I recommend you use try this spot. But know it's not fast food so when you order it is made to order and all food is hot and fresh.“
“I really enjoy Flemings as a rule and my last visit there last week was pretty good. The Walnut Creek Flemings is probably the busiest one I've been to. It took a hot minute to get seated and felt a bit too busy but the food was fantastic. Before we were seated, we took advantage of the bar area and the cocktails were spot on. After finally being seated, our waiter was very attentive, fast and well informed. My steak was perfectly cooked and the recommended wine was delicious. Despite it being a bit too busy for my normal tastes, it was a fantastic meal and I would definitely recommend it!“
“Oke Poke in Walnut Creek is the bomb! Seriously, if you're into poke bowls, this place rocks. The vibe is chill, the staff are cool, and the food? It's top-notch.They've got everything you need for the perfect poke bowl – fresh fish, loads of toppings, and killer sauces. Plus, you can build your own bowl, so it's totally customized to your taste.Portions are generous, and the presentation? On point. Plus, the staff are super friendly and always happy to help out.If you're craving some awesome poke, hit up Oke Poke. Trust me, you won't regret it! ??“
“Hap's is really popular and for good reason. We went this past Saturday early evening and there was a line starting to form before 5pm when the restaurant opens. Luckily, we were fourth in line. We went and sat at the bar to drink and eat. The bar and bar lounge filled up very fast. The two bartenders Carlos and Eric were both really good!Besides the wine, the dinner that we had was really delicious. We started with French onion soup followed by Prime rib and a side of mashed potatoes, which was huge! All in all, we had a wonderful time and we'll be back.“
“I recently dined at the Walnut Creek Yacht Club and came away with mixed feelings. On the plus side, the food is always well-prepared, a testament to the kitchen's consistency and skill. The Chelsea Gem oysters were a standout, arriving at the table perfect in every way and setting a high bar for the rest of the meal. However, not all dishes reached this level of excellence. The halibut with citrus butter, while very good, didn't quite live up to expectations, lacking a certain special touch that would make it memorable. Similarly, the clam pasta fell short of the mark. It was quite bland and suffered from an overabundance of butter, overshadowing the clams themselves. In summary, while there are definite highlights like the impeccable Chelsea Gem oysters, some offerings could benefit from a bit more inspiration and balance. The Walnut Creek Yacht Club has the potential for greatness, but a little more attention to the flavor profiles of some dishes would go a long way.3.5 stars.“
“Actually delicious. We’ve had a lot of sushi in the east bay and this was easily the best takeout - fish was fresh, cuts were generous, and seasoning was interesting and delicious. A little expensive for normal sushi takeout in my opinion but a nice monthly treat! We’ll be back to dine in!Dietary restrictions: Gluten, dairy, egg free“
“Everything I ordered was great and the prices were reasonable. The only reason I gave it four stars and not five is because they do not sell regular shrimp. The only shrimp they sell is coconut shrimp, and I'm allergic to coconut. It would've been awesome to have a fish and shrimp combo, even if I had to pay for the shrimp separately.“
“This place gets popping on the weekends! We came for some great Vietnamese food and definitely got that and then some! There was parties of people coming in and the place got very lively! The food here is great, Service was great and the energy was wonderful!“
“This used to be my go-to spot before I moved. Excellent Chinese restaurant, the staff are incredibly friendly and if you're picking up your food will have a nice conversation with you if you like talking. The food is above average and third decor is pretty cool.“
“Oh my!!! What a great find!! Delicious and authentic food. Good portions and competitive prices. Call ahead to make sure they have what you want to eat. They sell out fast.Parking: This is a food truck in a parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Low key no fuss atmosphere. Only three tables available when we were there. And kids were happy.“
“I was pretty impressed with the quality of the food and the freshness. Tasted very delicious, my whole family was satisfied and everyone went for seconds and some thirds. If your in Hayward and you want to eat some tasty Chinese food, then go to China “
“We were looking for a Mexican restaurant when my wife and I happened upon this place. We were happy we could order to go. Both of us are petty picky when it comes to Mexican and we were delighted how goid the food was. So much so we came back a second time. It looks like we will start visiting Bronzes Tequeria regularly.“
“The service is excellent at this restaurant. I forgot my handbag in the restaurant this Tuesday during the lunch. I had my IDs and multiple credit cards and a bit cash in my bag. Since I was a bit tied up, I found out the loss of my handbag after a couple of hours. I went back to Mayflower in a hurry even knowing they were on break. But the manager there was very nice and immediately helped me to get my handbag back from the Lost and Found. I really appreciated the staffs and manager there to take care of my belongings. Will be back more often for the yummy Dim Sum.“
“I recently dined at Kacha Thai and I have to say, I was disappointed. While the service was friendly, the food was mediocre at best. I ordered the Green Curry with chicken and it lacked the depth of flavors that I was expecting. The portion size was also quite small for the price. The ambiance of the restaurant was also a letdown. The music was too loud and the lighting was too bright, making it difficult to have a conversation or feel relaxed. Additionally, the tables were too close together, making it feel cramped and crowded. On a positive note, the restaurant does offer a good selection of vegetarian options and the staff was accommodating to my dietary preferences. However, overall, I was unimpressed with my dining experience at Kacha Thai. I have had better Thai food at other restaurants for a similar price. In my opinion, there are better options out there for Thai cuisine.“
“A must try! The scallop risotto is absolutely amazing! The salmon was delicious. Drinks are special. The punch bowl is the way to go. Soooooo good! Our waitress, Kayla, was attentive and knowledgeable. She made excellent suggestions. She made our experience that much better. The manager, Melissa, took the time to come chat with us and make sure all was well. The pastry chef knows what she's doing. Best carrot cake I've ever had. Super friendly staff, great ambiance. We might be back every weekend.“
“Realized I forgot to take photos of the food because I was enjoying every bite! It was my first time here and we had a large group of 16. Staff was friendly and accommodating for us. Food came out fast and each dish was told to us as it came out so we knew what we were eating. Portions were good I especially loved the green beans and the salt and pepper pork chop. I didn't even have to ask for more water as they came around multiple times throughout the dinner. For dessert they even brought out mango pudding which was a nice surprise. Would definitely come back to try dim sum.“
“I tried this restaurants for the first time yesterday March/24/2024, staff are sweet and nice, Service are great, atmosphere are cool, the Koubideh Kebob was absolutely AMAZING.The only thing that I wasn't a big fan of was the Appetizers "Combination Platter" was overpriced and didn't taste as good.“
“A un assuming old style Mexican food restaurant. Flavor filled salsa with a spicy chili kick.. un like other Bay Area salsas. De Ajo is garlic heavy as it should be so close to the garlic capital city ... and surprisingly light in taste without heavy oil. Red sauce reminds me of a red chili ground down just for the purpose to accompany and make a statement muy rica. Great find on our way south.“
“This is my favorite sushi restaurant in Pleasanton. I like to eat here for lunch, it is not crowded and has a good selection of fresh fish. I always go for some nigiri, I love the Uni w/ Quail Egg, Aji, Kanpachi, Tamago, and Maguro. The Red Mountain Roll is my favorite, I also like the Four Seasons and Salmon Lover. I would highly recommend trying this place if you are in the area. The staff here is great and very friendly.“
“Came here with some friends right before their happy hour ended but Gina was so nice and decided to honor it for us anyhow! She also brought us soooo many bonchons (note you do have to order an entree for bonchons) We ordered a lot of food which did take some time to trickle out but we understand as Gina seems to be the only server that night. Korean pancake - 4.5/5 I loved this one cause it was thick and very crispy. My friend did say she prefers the pancake at Sisters House tho because it's thinner there Tofu soup - 3.5/5 it was a lil underwhelming and not salty enough and I feel it was missing a little depth of flavor. My friend and I both prefer the tofu soup at Sisters House BBQ Pork Sizzling Platter - wasn't very well charred. I don't usually get sizzling platters but the ones at Sisters House is better The fried chicken - 4.5/5 very good! I liked the crispiness of the chicken and inside was juicy. You do have to pay extra $2 for flavoring or for it to be crispy so keep that in mind. We did dip this into our tteokbokki/sausage sauce which Gina recommended Tteokbokki/sausage skewers - 3/5 I thought it was just okay for the price of what it was lol. I don't love the sausage but the tteokbokki did have a nice lil crisp to it on the outside but with that familiar chew once you get to the center“
“Five stars to this restaurant for absolute certain. To begin with, the location is fantastic and there's plenty of parking behind the restaurant on the street. It's right downtown and is a perfect spot to grab a quicker bite than a traditional sit down restaurant. The poke is very fresh, they have good topping options, and the staff are very friendly. There aren't many experiences better than enjoying some fresh, cold sushi on a warm day in the outdoor seating.“
“Absolutely super tasty with nice variety of toppings. The team making the food was helpful and explained what different things were and gave some good recommendations regarding sauce combinations. The fish is fresh and the everything else is was crisp and delicious. Medium portion is huge so they are very generous with their scoops. We took out but there was plenty of table space. Parking is plentiful. The only reason I'm not 5 staring this place is due to all the extra fees. Every time I asked for something I heard "that's extra". Just build it into the pricing. Sorry it's my pet peeve. All in all a great experience. By all means try it out. I will be back. Let's support our local businesses!“
“Everything is good there, food is really good service and atmosphereWe love that placeParking: Parking is good there are it's a shopping center you can find parking everywhere sometimes I find parking I'm front or on the side of the restaurantKid-friendliness: It's good for the kids also you can write on the booth wich is cool or you can write something anywhere you find a spot to write something“
“Fantastic selection and quality of ingredients. Loved choosing 3 bases (kelp noodles were awesome and enjoyed the citrus kale and mixed greens), 4 proteins, and the delicious sides included with the regular poke bowl/box. Generous portions and good value! I had enough for leftovers but the box gets soggy (love that it's compostable though) so transfer into a leak-proof container before refrigerating. ;)“
“Came back as its been awhile. Still consistent whether bento box or sushi. My fav bento is chicken teriyaki, tempura and CA roll. That was satisfying. The sushi roll was good. Just be ready to be patient as they are short staffed. Sushi chefs busy as the two older ladies are hosting, taking orders, etc. Service is pretty much order as soon as they come as one other woman she just walked by when we arrived. And the other ladies are hustling.“
