“On a recommendation I took my 12 year old grandson for a treat. I personally am not a seafood person. The staff was amazing. The chef chatted with him as my grandson was telling him over and over again how great the food was. Let me tell you this boy had the best meal. This was over a week ago and he’s still talking about the oysters, mussels, and the hamachi crudo he had. He had seconds on his oysters 🦪. He said that was the best meal ever. “Outstanding F&C battered lightly so it sits well even after eating too much which I did. Easy to do because its gooooooood! The site is clean and well kept. The condiments came to the table refrigerated which is a hallmark of extra care. Nothing sitting around under a lamp; all prepared when you order. Recommended!“

“We are visiting from the uk and always love to visit Cattlemen’s in Dixon. We have been twice this vacation and both times were fantastic! We visited last night, 13th August and were served by Jess, she was just amazing, everything was perfect, food was out of this world and we were looked after with impeccable service and some great humour thrown in! Jess, you are a credit to the restaurant! Both of my daughters loved the great ambiance of Cattlemen’s. Thank you again, one of the reasons why we love visiting this part of Californi. “Try their Al Pator! If you like meat, you can't go wrong with that choice. I'd be thrilled if they switched up to a more hardy tortilla, in-house made chip. The hot sauces seem to be made by them, they are wonderful. The atmosphere is basic, nothing special. I've taken out numerous times.“

“Great atmosphere, serving staff is friendly and on point with ensuring you have what you desire and the food was phenomenal. I had the lamb chops with mint jelly and sautéed spinach. Lamb chop cooked perfectly that it melt in your mouth with tons of flavor. My raspberry lemon drop was a bit on the strong side but when I made mention they remedied it by adding a little more simple syrup … perfect.“

“We went to this place for the first time, not expecting much. It just looks likes a generic place in a shopping strip from the outside. When we entered, we immediately saw how clean it was and how friendly everyone was there. They were very attentive throughout the course of our meal as well! They have a little robot that brings your food out to you but the server is right there ready to get the food off of the robot waiter. The food was absolutely divine! We got the fish and a shrimp dinner instead of the combination plates. The salads were great as well! Overall, our experience was extremely satisfactory and I would recommend this place to anyone. It was a delightful surprise!“

“We came here more than year ago for family reunion and we all loved the food here, this summer we came back here again for reunion. I love every dished my sister ordered.

The soup is amazing and I got two bowls of it and hope to comeback again next year. But the chef will be retired in few months. If you are in time in this area you better take the chance to enjoy the food here.“
