A dear friend insisted I try the pineapple coconut cakes, ordering four and telling me “you will see.” That level of confidence immediately raised my curiosity and it absolutely delivered.

From the moment I walked in, the staff set the tone. They were kind, informative, patient, and genuinely welcoming. That level of service matters, and they got it right.

I initially ordered four plates and appreciated the menu variety, especially seeing whole chicken wings offered. But the real moment came when I sampled the shrimp in my car. It was outstanding. Perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and memorable.

“My experience at D.Monaghans on the hill was very good I must say! The brunch we had for mother's day was great!!! Oh my plate I had an omelette that you can build your own omelette menu I put all vegetables in my omelette with a side of turkey sausage any black cup of coffee also I had a bowl of shrimp and grits they were delicious so don't sleep on this place. Also my family enjoyed the food as much as I did even my grandson couldn't stop eating the great food. The dinner menu have a vast amount of great meals on it and there a great bar with good drinks and IPA!!!“

“The food was good. It can get expensive building your own bag. The lobster was a bit over cooked but not horrible. The garlic noodles were amazing with beef. The lemon pepper wings plate was good the seasoning was all over the place but still curly fries were fire. Dip the wings into the broil sauce fiiiiire. I liked the quality of the goods, the mint and thai basil leaves were very impressive, so fresh and HUGE and tasted great. This place also served their bowls with limes which is funny because I've seen it becoming rarer, where lemons are being substituted and I'm the former so I appreciated that. The cuts of meat were these nice long strips, high quality.

I also got a banh xeo and that things was awesome. Whoever cooked it did so perfectly... nice crunch on the rim, juicy interior. The batter has coconut milk, so each bite is so flavorful. This was my favorite dish. Again, high quality meats and veggies, and huge! Good stuff. Also their coffee has a great condescended milk to coffee ratio, super sweet and rich yum“

“I’m new to the neighborhood and this is my second time trying the food here. The food was hot and fresh. I really enjoy the fried chicken it reminds me of my hometown (Baltimore). I don’t eat fried chicken often but when I feel homesick this will be my go to. The fried fish I had the first time was amazing as well. The owner/chef is very kind hearted. The first time I came she thanked me with the most genuine smile. The second time she did the same and even chatted with me for a moment. “Got a regular Red Snapper with fries, I didn't have to ask for any condiments they had it all in the bag, Plus a Ground beef burrito because im greedy an I don't go there much, it seems like it has endless Snapper, fried an seasoned to perfection, its hard to get Snapper around, ate the burrito the next day, an it was still bussing, Whenever im in town it my first Stop fo sho, food came out in less than 15min.“

“First of all the people that were in there getting food talked to me about how great it is before I could even order. I was excited. I ordered a Super Burrito with ground beef and everything. I also ordered a taco. When I saw how many ingredients were piled up on that taco and saw how the only way he could close that taco was to envelope it in aluminum foil I was amazed. But then when I picked up my bag containing one burrito and one taco I swear it was a couple of pounds! The burrito was huge! And delicious! I took a gluten pill before eating it, so I had no problem, but some people who are not helped with the special pill would have become terribly sick.
