A dear friend insisted I try the pineapple coconut cakes, ordering four and telling me “you will see.” That level of confidence immediately raised my curiosity and it absolutely delivered.

From the moment I walked in, the staff set the tone. They were kind, informative, patient, and genuinely welcoming. That level of service matters, and they got it right.

I initially ordered four plates and appreciated the menu variety, especially seeing whole chicken wings offered. But the real moment came when I sampled the shrimp in my car. It was outstanding. Perfectly seasoned, flavorful, and memorable.

I turned right back around and ordered an additional plate with catfish and shrimp, and that sealed it for me. The shrimp are 🔥🔥🔥!

“I had a takeout pizza from this restaurant last night first of all the customer service was absolutely excellent. The person that answered the phone had a really pleasant customer focused manner , nothing was too much trouble and he was so polite. “Mai Thai is our go-to for Thai food. We chose it over Naung Mai in Oak Harbor initially because of the price difference, but the portions are bigger and there's more of your chosen meat/protein in the soups and entrees. That said- be aware you have to LIKE SPICE. Recently it has been difficult to get "spice 1", which should just be a hint. If you say "no spice", it's OK, but not Thai, right? But if there's a difference between 1 and 4, I can't tell. Our Pho soup tonight (spice 1) was burning our throats. The pad thai was OK at spice 1, but still quite a bit spicier than I would assume 1 would be. This is a new development for this restaurant, so it is probably a new chef. Just BE AWARE. Anyway, most people complain the food in the PNW is too bland, so you won't have that problem, at least! And as far as ordering, we use the online app. Add five mins to the time it says your pick up is ready. It is never ready. Door Dashers use this place constantly, and they clog the order process. There is indoor dining, but we have never used it, thanks to Covid protocols. Also- a final word on parking. The parking lot has been sectioned off from looping through the driver's ed school next door. Therefore the lot is super tough to turn and get out. You are better off parking along the strip by the salon to the left of the restaurant and walking up. Please be careful in this area of town at night.“

“My friends favorite place, we shared general chicken, beef and chicken Fried rice, dumplings, skinny noodles chow main. The dumplings were okay, a lot of meat. General chicken was Crispy and little spicy, it is sweet. The chowmein with skinny noodle was little dry, picked the thicker noodle of you want to ordered chowmein. Fried rice was huge and they like us do a combo chicken and pork. In general, I like the food with the chili oil. The service was good.“

“We stopped in got some Fish & Chips (cat fish) and Onion rings and soda.As a very picky Aussie who loves good Fish & Chips most stores here in the US I’d score at a 6/10 but this little hole in the wall shop it’s easy an 8/10 the chips where good size the fish was average size for all the US stores I’ve tried but this little store the batter was crispy and the fish cooked perfectly the onion rings where good the Chips where very good but I feel a few extra minutes in the oil would have made them a perfect Crispy outer and hot and fluffy“
