“I have been passing by this place for a few months and kept saying to myself that I would stop in and try it out. Finally, I had some extra time on my way home, so I stopped in and ordered some food. Very old fashioned establishment that reminded me of a Foster's Freeze. They have plenty of options for food and desserts. I went with the quarter pound bacon cheeseburger and spicy fries. The food came out piping hot and delicious! The price was a little more than I was expecting as the burger, fries, and a drink ran me about $20! I should've grabbed pics of the menu since most of the featured ones are pretty old. I saw a few people eating these ice cream cones that had a mountain of soft serve coming out the top! Definitely need to try one next time. The burger and toppings were super fresh and well cooked. I would've liked my bun toasted a little more. The bacon had a great texture and tasted amazing, not that floppy, thin, tasteless stuff that some burger joints use. The spicy fries were potato wedges with a sort of cajun seasoning that gave them a very slight spice. They were crispy but also pillowy and delicious!Plenty of parking behind the restaurant. I will definitely be back again, but more so as a treat to myself.“
“I ordered the most amazing Pesto Veggie Benedict. It was outstanding! My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs. The steak was the size of a salad plate... way too much for one person to eat. I'll definitely order the Benedict again, but he won't order the steak. We weren't impressed with their choice of music. Thus, they only get 2 stars for atmosphere.“
“This is a takeout place offering 'Gourmet burgers'. I found the burgers to be, well, OK. A step up from the normal big name fast foods but nothing out of the ordinary. Gourmet, is not the word that came to mind, however, the veggies were fresh and the burger was cooked to specification. The fries were good. Took a bit to get the order. My uncle got a burger and a hot dog. Same reaction to the burger but said the Hot Dog was really great. All in all, for two meals we paid about 40 bucks, that's about average, maybe high average, for two.“
“Ordered a burger and fries for lunch. The fries were hot, crispy and perfectly salted. I ordered the 1/2 lb burger and it was adequately big, I loved that the bread is a French roll so it has that slightly toasted crispy outside. I finished half and was satisfied, the other half I ate for dinner and it was still good reheated. I noticed they also have some Korean / Asian food items on the menu so I am excited to try those for next time.“
“Val's hasn't reopened their dining room since the pandemic; you have to call a number posted on their front door and place your order over the phone. Though they have limited hours (Fridays and Saturdays 11-5) and their menu is limited to Papa and Mama burgers, a huge order of fries and drinks. Despite all this, I still feel that they have the best burgers around. I say this even though they got my order wrong. A good burger is a good burger, even with mustard and pickles (AND sweet relish--yuck!!).“
“I used to eat here all the time when I was a kid and I remembered it as a great place for a good burger. I’ve heard this place changed ownership and wanted to see if it’s still good as I remember. I got the Double Bulky Bacon Cheeseburger, with Fries and a butterscotch milkshake. I have to say the burger did not let me down. It was a pretty good size burger the meat was still juicy inside and it was a bit messy with their burger sauce but it added good flavor. It had shredded lettuce, tomato, and pickles as well. The fries were shoestring that was lightly seasoned with salt and they were still a little soft not too crispy which I like with those fries. If you like them crispy ask for them to be well done. The butterscotch milkshake was nice and thick, just wish it had more butterscotch flavor. Overall I really enjoyed everything and as far as price wise with all the price hikes everywhere else, it’s still a good deal for its price.“
“Brand new burger spot in the new apartment complex on FootHill just outside the downtown portion of Hayward. Just a note - there's a Chipotle right next door. Parking is a bit tight but the staff is fantastic. They were very attentive and professional. They cooked me a great burger, made a nice shake and gave me the perfect crispy fries. This location didn't disappoint.“

“The environment was really nice and so was the whole fast food place it felt very clean. The cashier was super patient and nice and made sure that we had our exact order that we wanted. We had a lot to order but she stayed patient with us the whole time. The food came out pretty quickly and was delicious. You can see them cook your food right in front of you. They have peanuts that are free and you can eat while waiting and a soda fountain. “My bf and I wanted to get lunch together and we were in the mood for some burgers. We always seen this spot but never got a chance to try it out. We were able to find parking in the free parking lot located one the rear side of the building. We were greeted right away and were shown the menu and all food options they had.. decision decisions! My bf always relies on me to pick out his food because he always says I have great taste in food! So I decided to order him the Monster Burger and I ordered myself Beyond Burger(vegan). I absolutely knew my bf would love his burger since that man can eat! I wanted to try something new something I never get so I wanted to try out their vegan burger. With an order of sweet potato fries! My absolute favorite type of fries!! My bf ate all food and was very impressed and very satisfied with my choice of food I picked out for him! I absolutely fell in love with my vegan burger, couldn't believe I could hardly tell it was not a real meat! I felt very light after my burger and didn't feel that heavy feeling on my stomach! “I’ve been on a falafel dry spell, and by dry spell, I mean every single one I’ve tried in years has been hella dry. Not so at Falafel Flare! The falafel were soft and the herbs inside them combined with the chickpea meal to create a nice, balanced flavor. I dug the pickled radish in the wrap and wish they’d included more! My only complaint is that the flavors were a bit tame, so I’d definitely recommend asking for the hot sauce, too—and more radish!Interestingly, this place used to be called Falafel Flame. The front door had the “m” peeled away, which is now replaced by an “R”. I want the 411 on that situation! It made me laugh to see the obvious change to the name.“
