Delicious and flavorful. Food was freshly cooked and it was hot/warm when we picked it up. We appreciated for an authentic soul food. Oxtail melted in our mouths, so was the chicken in the gumbo. Lobster mac n cheese was great. The serving size is about right. Will order again and to support local business. By the way, we did the pick up option. Ordered online. Showed up at the address, and just give Chef Ian a call. He'll bring the food right out. Not too complicated.

Now we all have depended on takeout during this pandemic in some way shape or form. Your regular chain restaurants have not measured up, but Black Kings Catering did not disappoint AT ALL. I put in my order in advance, and I was served exactly when I needed my order. I was so excited they had vegetarian options. I got the vegan gumbo, yams, and greens. OMG!!! Absolutely delicious!! I thought I'd never be able to eat gumbo again, that was until I found this option. Fantastic service, and equally fantastic food!! Order, you won't be disappointed

I pay good money to this company to deliver j*** chicken, greens, and king crab all the way to Sacramento. This place has a house rub thats better than anything you have tasted. They put it on a lot of their food and sell it for you to cook with at home. It's better than any rub you have bought in the store. I travel the world and sample food everywhere. I have eaten in some of the best restaurants in 46 states. The greens are THE BEST I've ever had and I've had the best the south has to offer. The J*** chicken is the best I've had outside of South Florida. The king crab is the best I've EVER had. Do yourself a favor and just order 1 plate to try this place. Trust me, you will be giving them all your money after.
