Super impressed by this place, did not know what to expect when I walked in but was met with a gourmet experience and stellar service.
Started with deviled eggs and empanadas, knew I was in for a treat after those dishes. Had a fantastic steak with chimmichuri and cilantro mashed potatoes and my partner had a delicious paella. Guava crem brûlée was to DIE FOR. please get the guava crème brûlée you will not be disappointed.
Our server David was a pro and so nice. 10/10 on everything about this place!

Casa Del Toro, is a beautiful space for special occasions. A tad on the $$$ side, but makes up for the ambience, their lovely cocktails & good food.
I came in here for warmth and I was given a job and free food. Bless this place! I panhandled outside here hoping the middle class people who come here give me money and none of them did. You saved me! They let me live here sometimes for free as long as I don't panhandle indoors.

Wonderful place. Amazing food, great atmosphere. The service was amazing except I've never been to a restaurant where they don't split the checks so that was something new to me.

Casa Del Toro maintains a well rounded menu of scrumptious dishes. From the Paella to the mouth watering tender short rib you won't be disappointed in their menu.

Expecting a full mexican food menu just by the name on the front of the building is somewhat expected.
Turns out this place has a bit of a fancy upgrade to it. It does have mexican food but its main dishes are steak and fish after 3 pm. Before 3 pm, it does have chilaquiles more of a breakfast menu.
Entering the restaurant, you can see all servers dressed the same in the same style black uniform, making them stand out.
The food is good. A unique style of taste.
Ordered a fish plate that was very flavorful with purple mashed potatoes and diced Brussel sprouts. The fish was a bit over cooked.
I also got a 3 ceviche appetizer platter. One had shrimp and the other two had fish.
All of these where delicious 😋. My favorite ones where the shrimp and the cooked fish. The one in the middle was raw fish with mango.
Depending on what you want to eat it could get expensive. So far what we got was good and worth it.
Vegetarian options: We told our server one of us didn't eat meat and she responded with....
"We do have chicken" as if two legged animals ain't the same as a four legged animal lol.
They worked with us on getting us fish before 3pm, 30 min earlier than expected.
Parking: Plenty of parking around the area. Across the street you have a parking garage near the theater.

Great fine dining on B Street. We came in for dinner on a Friday night and the place was full. Nice outdoor space with heaters for when the weather is more accommodating. Step inside and the decor is, I don't know, Spanish chic?... high ceiling with understated chandeliers and drapery, yet, heavy chairs at the tables and the banquette. Add some booths and a fantastic bar, and it's all very nice and welcoming vibe. Our server, Aaron, was sharp and attentive throughout the meal. All the servers on the floor this night were professional and attentive to the tables (I was watching them).
For starters we enjoyed the Empanadas de Setas - wild mushrooms, onion, basil, queso Oaxaca. Very good!
Next we split the baby gem salad which was just enough for two
For our main we both chose the Guajillo Braised Short Rib with Cilantro mashed potatoes, pearl onions, baby carrots, red wine sauce. This dish was interesting and excellently prepared.
We were very happy with the meals served here and definitely will look forward to coming back to try other dishes.

Don't forget to order the cilantro mashed potatoes!!!
José F. Was all smiles as soon as I walked in, I came in for dessert only, his recommendation was absolutely delicious: guava cream brûlée. You must try it, He paid attention to detail, came to check my table often, the ambience is great as well as the music. Will definitely return to try another dessert soon. Thank you Jose F.
