A friend and I went to El Buen Sabor de Mexico because of the reviews. We ordered two enchiladas and a pastor burrito. We knew we were going to be disappointed as soon as trying the complimentary chips and salsa. Quite frankly, I don't know how one screws up salsa, but they did. Without question, the worst chips & salsa of any Mexican restaurant I have ever been to. My friend had the enchilada with chicken and said was meh, just ok. I had the burriros and it was one of the worst burritos I've ever eaten. They put raw diced bell peppers into it which overpowered the dish and added a grassy flavor. Now, if you like grassy burritos, then you'll like it. We were the only two people eating at the restaurant, although they did have just three people come in for pickup. Not exactly a good sign when you're the only ones sitting down for dinner on a Saturday night. The atmosphere was annoying. Normally, in most restaurants, the kitchen is separated from the dinging area. Not so with El (not so) Buen Sabor. The clamouring of the dishes, pots and pans all made for a rather loud experience. I asked my friend "Isn't it loud in here?" She said, and I'm not joking, "What?" After we left, we both agreed that we would not be coming back.

Delicious food, kind staff and affordable prices! Plus a great vibe + fun música!
Super burrito with steak. Great tasting, what really stands out was the pico de gallo. It had great heat, but not so hot that I would be screaming. I did not rate the atmosphere because we did take out.

Really annoyed. This place has great reviews, people say it’s great Mexican food. We ordered from here based on those reviews. What we got wasn’t anything close to great or even good.
I ordered a carne asada mojato burrito, my wife tried three tacos (carne asada, fried pork and Al pastor). The “carne asada” was hard dry meat that tasted like burnt cardboard. Even with the stuff it was buried in, it was flavorless and generally terrible). The tacos were the same, they must have used the same meat. The pork was rock hard and the al pastor was flavored paper.
Why all the “great” reviews? Never again.

Loved the Tacos and encheladas plate. The taste just is engraved in my mind. Other items were ok.
The environment gives the vibe of local restaurants.

Chicken burrito was excellent. The chicken was perfectly seasoned. The carnitas tacos were good not as fresh as I'd like it to be but I did order later in the evening on a Saturday. I liked that the tortillas for my tacos weren't oily like other taco places. I would stop in again if I'm ever in the area.

Good food no parking except busy Blvd.
My eldest daughter and I found this place after doing a google search for super burritos within my vicinity. I am a SF native who has been living in the East Bay for the past 20 years and I haven’t found a super burrito as good as my hometown fave El Farolito on 24th and Mission until now. El Buen Sabor de Mexico may have even surpassed El Farolito in my opinion and that feels weird for me to say as El Farolito was the standard in which I measured all East Bay burritos to that I’ve tried up until today. One thing I appreciate about El Buen Sabor is they take cashless payments so Apple Pay,Google Pay etc are good to go. I will be visiting El Buen Sabor again and again and again in the future. Thank you for the excellent food service!
