Oh my!!! What a great find!! Delicious and authentic food. Good portions and competitive prices. Call ahead to make sure they have what you want to eat. They sell out fast.Parking: This is a food truck in a parking lot.Kid-friendliness: Low key no fuss atmosphere. Only three tables available when we were there. And kids were happy.

First time trying Peruvian food, and I was not disappointed! I went with two friends and they gave me a heads up on what was what. This truck serves different dishes depending on the day, and some items can be limited. I got the chicken al hormo (baked chicken with rice, and a vegetable salad mix), which seemed like something that was a safe choice for a first timer. The chicken was cooked to perfection with a great flavor. The rice had a nice amount of seasoning, which complimented the chicken perfectly! It was a mix of savory and spicy. The vegetable mix was colored pinkish from the beets and was on the sweeter side. I ate most of the plate very quickly and washed it down with an Inca Kola (pineapple tasting cola). My friends let me try some of their dishes and I was happy with the plate I chose. Would definitely like to come back and try the lomo saltado. The only reason I gave the atmosphere 4 stars is because it was very hot that day, and we sat outside in their tent area to eat. The people who ran the truck were very sweet, and the cook even offered to make mine spicier next time, lol!

I went to this place thinking the food would really be good. It is the strangest Peruvian ceviche I have ever eaten in my life. Just so you know, it is a ceviche without tiger's milk. They only put a lot of lemon and chili on top of the fish, something you could do at home.

I recently had the pleasure of stumbling upon the El Causa Food truck, and what a delightful surprise it turned out to be! As a food enthusiast always on the lookout for unique culinary experiences, this food truck offered an exciting journey through the flavors of Peru. The first thing that caught my attention was the vibrant and colorful branding of the food truck. It exuded a cheerful and inviting vibe, making me eager to explore the menu. The friendly staff welcomed me with warm smiles and provided helpful recommendations as I perused the enticing options. For starters, I decided to sample one of Peru's most famous dishes, ceviche. The fresh fish was marinated in citrus juices, and the combination of flavors worked well for my palate. In addition, pollo al horno was served alongside which complemented the dish. The price point of the dishes was reasonable and the team takes pride in bringing genuine Peruvian cuisine to the community. If you happen to come across this food truck in your area, don't hesitate to give it a try. You won't be disappointed!

Today I went to try it out, their menu changes daily so I didn’t mind. But I paid $18 for ONE chicken leg, basmati rice that wasn’t cooked thoroughly and they put the potato salad next to it so it was warm. If you’re going to charge that much for one chicken leg with the sides, the least you can do is afford to go plates that are sectioned. I won’t be back.

Staff was very friendly, we liked the Lomo Saltado, the flavor was good, tender meat and great white rice and seasoning. We think the sauces were plain. The Tallarines verdes milanesa was good, the noodles were a little over cooked, papa a la Huancaina was good. Prices a re reasonable. We will como back to try more dishes.

East Bay, you're missing out if you haven't tried the food being served here! Outside of their delicious menu, their customer service is on point and so refreshing given today's service industry climate. My wife and I visited their place today and were super impressed with their Peruvian style ceviche and their arroz con pollo. WOW! Their food is made to order and you can definitely taste it in the flavor as you salivate awaiting the first bite. The ceviche has a nice blend of sour, crunch, and sweetness with the sweet potato mixed in with it. It was so good we even "drank" the remaining juice at the end. LOLAs for the arroz con pollo, it's well balanced with the spices used and gives a pleasant texture to your palette. We'll definitely be returning to try other items on their menu.I highly recommend them so get up and go enjoy their yummy-licous food before they're gone! One last thing, in reading other reviews and their "short" menu, we think it's perfect! Less is more and what they have to offer is nothing short of satisfying!

Was craving some good peruvian ceviche. I had a taste for authentic ceviche. Had did a search and the food truck pops up. I figured this would be perfect it would be quick and convenient. I approached the truck and the BBQ chicken aroma also caught my attention. The owners were very friendly. I ordered the ceviche and let me tell you it brought me memories of traveling in peru and hanging out at the beaches with a fresh plate of ceviche. The ceviche was fresh flavorful and a good portion. I ordered the chicken as well and it was juicy flavorful and a large portion. I was definitely impressed and content of my food choice. This place is a hidden gem and has some amazing ceviche and other peruvian dishes. Will definitely be back. You no longer go to businesses snd where customer satisfaction and service is a must. Businesses have lost there touch where the customer doesn't matter. This place was awesome. They will continue to get my business.

We were disappointed, because we were anticipating a 4.5 star restaurant, had our minds set for Lomo Saltado only to find out that dishes alternate from day to day. The portions were rather small for the price. The imitation crab in the "seafood" was tasteless and soggy. Needless to say, we were left longing for better quality Peruvian food.
