This place is in an old strip mall shopping center. It used be a salvadorian restaurant before and they were ok. This place is much better. The food tastes pretty good . The burritos are huge and the tacos are regular sized tortillas( not street taco sized) and they were loaded with meat. Customer service was good. There's really not much seating her but it's OK I always take it to go. They have good salsas and sliced cucumbers. They also have pickled onions with habeneros (which are delicious) and slice pickled jalapeños. I think this will be my new go to spot for Mexican food.Parking: Lots of parking here

The food here is IMMACULATE as hell! I honestly have had my fair share in eating Hispanics food, but this place has by far has my hear foreals! It's literally in the middle of a bunch of apartment complex, which is WHY you will never run into it at all. WE honestly only found this place, because they are next door to our tax lady and was super hungry from waking up super early to file taxes - LOL! So we stopped by here and it did not disappoint at all. The service is quick and thorough. I wish they had Gordito's because I love those things, but running out of it speaks high volume on how popular they are around this area with them. Loved the ambiance of walking in and ordering and how colorful it is. Me and my husband both had burritos and they use ACTUAL AVOCADO in your burrito and that stole the show. Everything in the burrito is portioned out evenly and every bite, you get each ingredient. I asked for extra sour cream, but that was honestly not needed, but I still ate it ALL! They're salsa bar is what really got me! They're sauces there are A1 to a tee and I will literally drink it to eat with my food. I'm honestly shocked at how no one knows this place, but totally understandable because I don't need everyone up here taking up all the space - HAHAHAA! They are family owned, so be nice and if they're slow, BE PATIENT! You will not regret it at all, I PROMISE!

The other day I came in during my lunch break craving a torta and I saw this hidden gem on yelp. As I walked in the guy was very welcoming and nice, they had their own salsa bar with cucumbers, jalapeños, salsa verde, radishes etc. I ordered a carne asada torta and it was hella good, exceeded my expectations !! 10/10 would come back and recommend !!

Disgusting i had hair in my food i was than told nobody had long hair when i literally had to dig through my food to see if it was a string. Food was also gross the steak was hard and cold.

This is a hidden gem! I took my siblings here a few weeks back to try out and the food was amazing. I got tacos and my siblings got quesadillas. The portions are big and my tacos had a lot of meat. I came back the next week to pick up food for my family and I ordered burritos, tacos, and quesadillas and again everything was bomb. I love that there is a salsa bar because there are a variety of salsas and sides.

I am mystified at the ratings for this place. I literally took a detour off the freeway to try it, and it was not good. I ordered a super no meat burrito and it came with a little bit of refried beans and rice and cheese, and a whole lot of super greasy fajita style, onions and bell peppers. What the heck? The salsa was OK. The guy behind the counter was nice. Very slow -- took them 15 minutes. And they weren't that busy. Not worth the detour. Fine if you live in the area.

My boyfriend and I have been on the search for the best shrimp tacos in the Bay Area and we may have just found them at El Rey Del Taco. With this being our second time here, we decided to try their regular shrimp tacos as opposed to their supreme shrimp tacos. We thought that the extra dressing of the supreme shrimp tacos was overpowering the shrimp flavor. Biting into these tacos was just heavenly -- and honestly you can't go wrong with either type of taco, because we just wanted to let the shrimps flavor shine. What I loved most about their shrimp tacos was that they were fresh and crisp as opposed to old and mushy/stringy like some poorly prepared shrimp can be like. On top of the shrimp tacos, we shared al pastor tacos. Delicious. Again you cannot go wrong with them. When we pulled up here for the first time, we noticed that this restaurant was located in the same complex as one of our other favorite Korean fried chicken restaurants. How lucky is it that two of the best restaurants in the area are neighbors serving the community of Hayward. This nook of Hayward is such a gem that must be protected at all costs. I forgot to mention that this time around we called in for our order and it was ready by the time we arrived (20 or so minutes after we called). As my boyfriend was picking up the food, I packed some radishes, salsas, and other pickled goods at their convenient bar self-service area, which I really appreciated. Can't wait to come back for those shrimp tacos again :P As always, take care, happy eating, and stay safe, y'all!
