Fiji Sweets & Snacks opened where Donutland once was. Small shelf area. Didn't see any made in house sweets. Ordered lamb curry to go. Ready in 10ish minutes. Store had the usual rice, grains, condiments, cooking oils, teas, snacks, house made snacks. Menu of food to go in corner had no prices..not too legible. Buys: curry lamb(10.99) -didn't taste curry per se. Liquid tasted like a chili. Burning localized in mouth. Mix of tender & semi tender lamb pieces bone-in. A piece had bone marrow. Bongo baked cheese puffs (3.99) -made in Fiji. Baked puffs were melt in mouth. Cheese just a sprinkling of cheese powder, neglible taste. Lots of artificial chemicals Fried green peas (2.50) -made in house of peas, vegetable oil, salt, spices, chili. Slight burning sensation. 4.5 stars: small space. Doesn't look organized.

One of the most underrated little family shops in Hayward. Great selection of household staples and snacks as well as a rotating hot food menu. The prices are unbelievable and haven't gone up as much as other restaurants in the area. The samosas, bhajis, spring rolls and other fried snacks are great to take home and pop in the air fryer for a few minutes! And we always need to pick up a bag of crispy spicy peas to go, they're addictive! I haven't tried the hot food options in a while, but everything was tasty during a previous visit. We're so happy this little spot made it through Covid unlike so many other small family businesses. The same family has owned Fiji sweets and snacks since we've lived in Hayward and their warm, helpful staff keep us coming back over the years.

We ordered food for our wedding and couldn't serve this to our guests; super embarrassing! Please look at the pictures. The roti was burnt and nearly raw and the puri was full of grease and charred. We also order aloo mutter that was also undercooked and under seasoned. We had to add spice and cook it for a while before serving it. I'm glad I didn't order too much or it would've been offensive.

We visited the store today and we were so disappointed in the customer service. This place is definitely lacking the Fiji hospitality. Poonam, the owner’s daughter does not know how to greet customers and or assist them in a polite manner. She had an attitude with one customer and with us she chose to ignore our questions about the prices of items in the store. We will be contacting Better Business Bureau regarding their service and failure to display prices as we were charged different amount then what was “quoted”. I understand we have bad days but if you don’t know how to talk to customers and ignore them then maybe stay in the back and or at home. I just saw the reviews on both google and yelp and so many negative reviews are based on her behavior. It’s unfortunate she is the owner’s daughter because this business won’t last long with her attitude and behavior towards customers.

Saudagur level quality (good). Fiji Sweets and Snacks is a hidden gem in Hayward that offers authentic Indo-Fijian cuisine and desserts. The food is amazing, with a variety of dishes to choose from, such as chicken curry, lamb curry, roti, samosa, and more. The portions are generous and the prices are reasonable. The curry is flavorful and spicy, but not too hot. The roti is soft and flaky, and the samosa is crispy and savory. The desserts are the best part, also very tasty, with options like barfi, ladoo, jalebi, peda, and more. The sweets are rich and creamy, but not too sweet. They also have a selection of drinks, such as Jucy soda, Fiji water, and masala tea. The store is clean and cozy, with a nice ambiance and decor. They also sell some Fiji products, such as snacks, spices, souvenirs, and more. You can find everything you need to enjoy the Fiji culture and cuisine.

This business does not deserve a single star. I found them to be very unprofessional. I called to inquire about a catering order for about 25 people and completed their online form. With no response after a week, I called. Lady who answered asked me to text the menu items which I did and she responded promptly saying she will get back with a quote next week. By end of following week I texted asking if she could respond within a day or two so I could finalize the order. I have received no response to date. Perhaps the order was too small for their liking but common courtesy dictates a response. There is no shortage of Indian food catering in the bay area but I wanted to give Fiji folks a chance and my money. I am now working with another catering company and they have responded to my inquiries promptly and have been very professional. This is how you do business Fiji Sweets and Snacks.

I wouldn't even give this place a star due to rude attitude of the FAKE daughters that work here! I phone ordered a total of $50 plus of things including Bara being one of them. I show up to pick up my order, while standing in line. An older Indian man who seemed like they were related to the owners cuts me off in line and asks for Bara. The younger girl, takes out the Bara from my order while I'm watching and gives it to him. As I get up to the front to get my order, I ask if my Bara is in there, she says no they didn't make it today. So I reminded her that she gave Bara out of my bag to the man. She went back to get her mom, and they gave me Bara from someone else's order. This is the kind of customer service they have. We then received a call from them, saying that we have to order 12 pieces of BARA. MIND YOU THIS WASN'T JUST AN ORDER OF BARA, IT WAS WITH PALAU AND OTHER THINGS. That girls attitude will be taking customers away. Don't go here! Fijian BBQ makes better Palau and BBQ Lamb in Hayward CA

Love this family always very friendly and helpful. A lot of variety of sweets. The taste of the sweet suggest like back home store is very clean well organized family on business and they are so nice they communicate they are not rude and they go all the way helping. The mother specially is very kind every time I walk in the store if she is there and I order some thing she takes the time to talk to me to let me know that how long is gonna take and then he asked me to have a seat in my car and she would bring it to me. I had family visiting and they really we are very impressed as to how kind and friendly these people are very impressed so I’m giving them five stars.
