This place is delicious. I typically come for lunch or I door dash dinner. Food is always on point. Shami Kabob or chicken kabob plate is good. Food quality is always consistent when I order. Serving size is quite large, probably enough for two meals. Make sure you wash it down with a mint yogurt drink (doogh)

This place does not make authentic afghan food. Food will be raw, tasteless, and low quality. Owner is rude as hell. I would not recommend this place at all! Disappointed. Unfortunately, we had my nephews birthday here.

Better than ever. I’ve been eating here for a while. I gotta say they gotten much better. Don’t get me wrong the food was decent but this time it’s on point. The kabobs were perfect and flavorful. I got the double combo kabobs plate, Mantu, and Bolani. All were super delicious. The service was excellent, the atmosphere is quiet. Perfect enough to just eat and enjoy your meal.

DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND SAVE YOURSELF FROM FOOD POISONING!!!! UNDERCOOKED CHICKEN AND ALL MEAT FOOD IS literally disgusting … go somewhere else much much better places I was sick for 2 days straight absolute trash! And Oh yeah the owner is even more trash .. no decency. If I owned a restaurant I know I would consider my guests feelings . Instead this man trash talks you back!

DO NOT ORDER CATERING FROM THIS RETAURANT!!! THIS ESTABLISHMENT SERVES RAW FOOD!!!! I paid $550 for a catering order for 3 dishes: shami kabob, chicken kabob, and qabuli palaw. The meats for the kabobs were both undercooked and squishy, but the shami kabob was literally RAW. Absolutely unacceptable on all grounds, but especially for the amount that I paid. Not to mention the owner/manager is one of the rudest people I’ve ever spoken to. My event would have been ruined if I wouldn’t have made other food myself to serve to my guests. I had multiple people showing me the meat was raw and telling me I should contact the owner for some sort of compensation. We were throwing up and sick to our stomachs the next morning!! I contacted the restaurant the morning after the event and he told me that it wasn’t his fault and that he served me “fresh food”. Excuse me sir, I didn’t know fresh food meant I was going to be served RAW MEAT. He refused to compensate us in any way and kept denying that it was RAW. He said that he the meat was just more lean and that’s why it appeared red or pink. As you can tell by the photos below, the meat was not cooked properly at all. Instead of apologizing and offering some sort of compensation , they denied everything and blocked my phone number. I am extremely disappointed with his lack of professionalism and I did not expect this behavior from a fellow Afghan. I will be reporting this establishment to the local Food Safety Department and they can take it up with them since they want to block my number.

Please get it together. The last 3 times I've been to the location, the service has been terrible. Especially since the staff change. Most recent visit was terrible. We specifically stated we would be dining in. As we sat down, everybody had bread and beverages except us. After waiting about 30-35, is when we were told our TO GO order was ready. This place is near social services and the court house which means service needs to be quick as we are all coming on our lunch. Skeptical on even returning to this establishment

Fantastic Experience at Ghazni Afghan Restaurant and Event HallI recently had the pleasure of booking Ghazni Afghan Restaurant in Hayward (party for 70), and I must say, it exceeded all expectations. From the moment we walked in, the owner's warm hospitality made us feel right at home. Not only was he incredibly accommodating, but he went above and beyond to ensure that every member of our family felt comfortable and catered to.What truly sets Ghazni apart is not just their exceptional service, but also their unbeatable prices. We did our homework and compared prices with other venues, and Ghazni came out on top every time. The affordability combined with the quality of the food made our dining experience truly remarkable.Speaking of food, every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and authenticity. From traditional Afghan classics to modern interpretations, each bite was a delightful journey for the taste buds. And let's not forget about the staff, who were not only friendly but also attentive to our needs throughout the entire meal. One standout feature of Ghazni is their outdoor area, which provided us with extra space to pray in. This thoughtful addition made our dining experience even more enjoyable and convenient.Overall, I cannot recommend Ghazni Afghan Restaurant and Event Hall enough. Whether you're looking for a delicious meal, a beautiful event space, or simply a welcoming atmosphere, Ghazni has it all. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.

It was buffed and we went on Ramadan, there was a woman who kept watching us with soo bad look as if we are eating for free. She didn’t take away her eyes from us and I couldn’t eat at all because of her.

The food finished in the buffet and the staff gave us the number of the owner to contact saying this is all they get to cook and can’t cook more food. Very disappointed by the attitude of the staff and the way that the food finished in what was supposed to be an Iftar buffet, not coming back here ever again. I agree it’s $23 but they treat you as if it’s free, don’t waste your money here folks. There were bugs in the toilet too which meant it’s not exactly a hygienic place either.

Terrible terrible experience.. we went for the buffet and the second time I went to fill my plate they said the food is over.. first buffet I have ever seen where the food finishes in 10 min’s and its not because the food is amazing its because they cook less, staff attitude is horrendous they treat you as if you’ve come for free food, never going here again.
