This is the best Kabob around! Naan is yummy! Everything we try is delicious! Family ran! Did I mention their Naan?

Sigh. Another failed attempt at a Bay Area highly (Yelp) rated restaurant. Idk.. maybe it's because I'm from the "Farm to Fork Capital" aka Sacramento, so the quality of food doesn't seem to hold up to most of my favorite places in Sacramento. Anywho... Food quality here was just one of my issues. And I'm only leaving a review because the service left a bad taste in my mouth before I even tried the food. To keep it brief, the woman at the register literally looked up one time while I walked toward the register, said nothing, and continued texting (I presume). When I got to the register she turned away towards the kitchen. HER BACK TO ME! Never said a word to me. I waited another 60 seconds or so for a young gentleman to service me. Next - I love Chapli, so was highly looking forward to this. Blandest burger patty textured chapli I've ever had. And, again, the quality of meat wasn't there for me. I ate maybe half of 1 of 2 patties. A waste. My boyfriend had the chicken. He said it was okay. Also that the chutney tasted weird (I didn't try it) and the red sauce was pretty spicy. Reading back some of the reviews it makes sense now that the chutney tasted "weird". Lastly, the bread. Not sure of the actual name, but it was the most dense/hard version of it I've ever had. The best part of the whole thing was the dressing on the salad that comes with it. Kabob dinners can get pricey so this was definitely not worth it. Good thing I happened to be in the area and didn't take a special trip for this alone.

I decided to have lunch with a coworker and I suggested this place because of all the hype and the reviews that I had seen online. When we arrived there, we noticed we were the only customers at 12 noon which should've been our clue. We ordered a mantu appetizer The filling had flavor, but what was put on top of it, which was a chickpeas sauce with some curry, and absolutely no flavor. I also told the waitress that the chutney was basically a water and cilantro emulsion with no vinegar traditionally the chutney is made from vinegar and cilantro. once we got our plates of triple combo , the Chapli kebab was essentially a hamburger patty, lacking all the spices that makes a chapli kebab. The food coloring on the chicken was very noticeable. But the chicken tasted good. The beef chunks were chewy and slightly overcooked. Even the brown rice lacked salt. Based on the previous reviews, I can draw one conclusion that the ownership has taken their eyes off the ball and the cook they've hired does not have proper training.

No frills restaurant with friendly staff. We arrive right at opening so we expected it to take some time for them to set up. Ordered the triple combo and Food was hot and fresh. Thank

Not a good experience for me. Visited the place based on ratings.Chicken korma was bad. Lamb chops was average. Portion size is good with lots of rice with no flavor.

The Quabili pallaw was delicious - the lamb was tender and the raisins with rice was well done. Generous portion, though a bit pricey for a meal. Minor nitpick is that the basmati rice used could be more fragrant, but that is a personal preference. The triple combo was a meal with good variety. I found the chicken rather tough and dry, but this is expected. The highlights were the other 2 meats, and served in combination with the salad and rice it made for an excellent combination of a meal. Finally, we had the Borani Bajan appetiser. It was really enjoyable. I would definitely return for this refreshing dish.Overall a pleasant experience. Parking a little difficult, environment is basic which appealed to me as an inexpensive restaurant, prices are decent, service is pass-able, nitpicking here because the server was holding her phone while attending to us. We were here for the food, and the food is excellent.

Disappointed in the quality. My salad was limp and brown, there were food flies in the sides, and the appetizers came after our entrées... and were cold. Maybe it was an off day!

My experience at Ghazni Afghan Restaurant was nothing short of exceptional! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and hospitality. The lamb and chicken kabobs were absolutely delicious, bursting with authentic flavors that truly transported me to Afghanistan. The artful presentation of the dishes added an extra touch of elegance to the dining experience. The lady who served our food was incredibly kind and made sure I felt welcome throughout our meal. The facility was spotlessly clean, creating a comfortable atmosphere to enjoy our meal. Overall, I had a fantastic time and would highly recommend Ghazni Afghan Restaurant to anyone looking for a delightful Afghan culinary journey.
