Black Bear Diner Hayward

It was my first time here. Brought my daughters and we loved it. Food was so fresh and delicious. We placed some to go orders and they reheated really good. We are definitely going back.

I would advise going to this place 4 or 5 am not getting good service this girl that works there is not nice. If you not happy working over night you don’t need to work there your lucky I gave you a tip that’s all your worth. The menu is very limited beer again

The food is abundantly rich and warm to taste. The server were quite exceptional I had xenophobia. There were so many things to see I had to drive back to use my coupon being in fog. The drink caused some pain on my old injuries.

If you sit in the patio be prepared to be fully ignored in favor of the bigger long table groups. She's got blond highlights.

Wow so happy I found this gem! Food was awesome (ordered BLT W sweet potato fries SO GOOD their bacon is something special! SERVICE WAS AMAZING! I ordered online pickup up 3:30AM! Got daughter moved into Stanford then my vehicle broke down on way home. Needless to say this place saved me, nothing else was open at that hour the guy who works that shift is THE BEST (white guy not sure of name) he handled everybody and everything with ease super friendly very efficient five star for sure I will definitely eat here every time I come visit my daughter!! It’s like you step back in time to when people care about eachother and slow down long enough to enjoy a good meal! THX!!

We came to the restaurant , and the hostess had an attitude from the beginning.. we asked to be seated Ina. quiet s criondue to my granddaughter having to do online school work.. so she seated us, and then left us .. never came back .no water nothing.. we sat there waiting...so I went to the front and asked if we had a server , she ignoredme and walked past me staring with a Dirty look...so I got my family and we left . it was bad service....and all we.eantwd to do was have a nice meal..we went to Denny's where we received excellent service.....

We had never been here before and decided to stop and check it out. Late at night. Lucy our server was an absolute joy. Super friendly and extremely accommodating. We will definitely be back. Breakfast food was great.

The service and food was exceptional. There was only one waitress and one cook basically running the whole restaurant as we were there during shift change. They went above and beyond to satisfy our party of 7 and the rest of the customers. Black Bear Diner Hayward is my favorite restaurant whenever i'm in town from Cleveland. Highly recommended! Bring your appetite!!

Went in for lunch, no wait for a table. It was a bit crowded but service was good! Had a BBQ burger with fries and it was delicious!!!

Great Service, Amazing Manager!

I really enjoy this place! It has rescued us many times for a last minute dinner when no one is open late or on the most important holiday's. Reliable menu with great choices for your mood.
