I walked in to the restaurant and it was empty, no people so I immediately got skeptical. We’ll let me tell you the food is outstanding. I’m a kid that grew up in the Moana Loa area of Oahu. I haven’t had good Samoan, Tongan and Hawaiian food in a long time. Great friendly service with Island hospitality and a beautiful smile. Come visit this restaurant. It’s legit if your craving for some great Island food.

Constructive criticism:Otai is not supposed to be watered down like this. It also has a weird after-taste. I like a good otai. This ain't it.Poly food recommendations:Kale moa or sipiSapasuiTurkey tailPoly-style sipi tunu which is baked or fried pieces of lamb shoulders.Room for improvement:OtaiOta&Lu...they're just ok.Ambience has the tendency to make me lose my appetite here.Hours of operation. 11am is 11am opening. Island time is unprofessional. You guys should check out your competition to get an idea on how to improve. You'd be a good poly kitchen in this area. Ya'll make it feel warm like it's grandma's kitchen. I know ya'll got family members in the construction business who can paint or liven up the place. Good luck!! Really.

Me and my wife visited cali from Florida we really wanted some island foodWe thought this place would be niceThe lady seems okayHowever she charged us 98$ for 2 plates 2 otai and 1 LuHere’s me thinking it can’t be that’s to over Priced but she carried on with the payment processing itI recommend not going to this place to eat they will rip you off big time
Delicious food, softest taro I've ever had I hope they don't change it. Luau is very good, not salty just right. Sorry I didn't take pics of my food I ate it all so fast ? they price flat rate for the plates and it was PACKED!!! We'll be coming by again soon!
I love to support my fellow Pasifika people and there businesses but I have to be honest this place could do a lot better in terms of the ambiance and quality of the food.Understandably they like other business establishments have had to hike up their prices due to inflation but the quality shouldn’t have to suffer because of it and I eat with my eyes first so the most noticeable thing upon walking in is how unkept the space is and how dark it is inside. The food looked as if it was sitting all day and was unappetizing. Im also picky about how food establishments smell, when I walked in it smelled like I was in someone’s home not a restaurant. Every food establishment should carry and deliver top tier quality because you’re selling food for human consumption and if you’re going to sell food with a high price tag the environment in which that food is prepared should also have the same quality and cleanliness to match. Also, music was blasting hella loud so the lady serving me could barely hear me when we were talking. I gave 2 stars because the workers are nice but i hope the merchants of this place do better and clean the place and food up!
They catered for my grandmother’s funeral. The food was delicious and plated along with the utensils. The Ota came with a iced cooler. Absolutely worth every penny.

If you wanna build your own combo it can get a little pricey but the food is worth it, I could eat the spinach and sweet potatoes every day

Unfortunately I can't post a picture of my food because it's all in my belly? HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. AS AN ISLAND GIRL, I AM TRULY APPRECIATIVE OF THE BEAUTIFUL BUSINESS. LITERALLY THE BEST SAMOA FOOD.
This place need to update their website. It says that they’re open at 11:30. I went over there and the lady there said. They won’t open until 2 smh….
Loooovvveee Katalina’s restaurant! Excellent customer service, generous portions and delicious island food! Definitely one of my fave island restaurants in the east bay?
Got there at 11 AM as per Apple Maps. They were not open but luckily the owner and her daughter were arriving and very graciously offered to put something together for me being a one time special visit coming from out of town. I ordered the chicken curry with rice and enjoyed the flavor. To specify what type of Polynesian cuisine they have, I inquired and learned they are Tongan. Katalina was very kind and courteous. Definitely check them out and support a local small business!
The best place for Polynesian food, reminds me of back home (Fiji). I gotta give it up to the pork sausage, sweet potatoes, and corned beef palusami. If I remember correctly they also have corned mutton palusami which is more more tastier then beef. Overall I love this place, it does home cooked island food correctly.
