I Googled soul food this place was 1st to pop up close to union city on Hesperian so I decided to try them out. 1. menu was confusing ordered the fish plate comes with 2 sides...I ordered Mac n cheese and red beans n rice. 2. after 20 mins they said no more Mac n cheese so I replaced with garlic noodles. 3. They didn't give the noodles forgot or something... gave me a bland salad no dressing just withered lettuce n tomatoe 4.the red beans n rice was hard n dry like undone also taste like cinnamon...the fish has no season at all very bland the guy was nice but I'm throwing it away n never going back 21.00 wasted. I'm sad and hungry

Found this soul food spot renovating the old Aggies hotdog. Tried out the Catfish and Mac n cheese, and the gumbo. They are currently opening soon but they're operating the truck out front. Tons of choices. Bonus there's a cute and tasty Italian ice truck right in front that does pop-ups. Dairy free fat free delicious. They also deliver locally and affordable prices.

Kid-friendliness: Options but no kids meals. That would be a great addition.
