The Lorraine's cafe food truck was at my work today and I have to say it's the BEST fried chicken I've ever eaten. The breading was crispy, loaded with spices and flavor, but layered on thicker than the substantial hunk of meat which was perfectly cooked to juicy, mouth watering perfection. I may have to track this food truck down again!

Tried them at a Roots game. This is really, really well done. Sliders with fresh slaw, crispy and spicy chicken on the outside and perfectly tender inside. And good bread. A gem.

Tried this place yesterday at OTG: Fort Mason. After eating a bunch of other unsatisfying food I just wanted one chicken tender no sauce. Yes one chicken tender. There was a bit of a wait but I was so happy after eating.It was juicy, flavorful and the breading was well seasoned and had a nice crunch to it. The service was friendly and even they still offered me sauce during my pick up. They probably thought wth, but that is truly what I just wanted haha. Anyways try this place!

If you ever find their food truck. Give it a try, and you will not be disappointed. They were at a basketball game in Alameda, and the food smelled so delicious. Someone was eating it inside the gym during the game. We ordered the chicken with Mac and cheese and chicken with fries. I have to say those fries are different but omg we really enjoyed them. Their chicken tenders are moist. The team that runs this is super sweet people. So stop by, put in your order and be happy.

Every time I think about their chicken tenders and pancakes, my mouth starts salivating. This family run business has it all, great service, excellent food and reasonable prices. They have the most moist chicken tenders (with different sauce dips), smacking Mac and cheese and oh so fluffy pancakes with homemade sauce. I am so happy to see their cart popping up at the local events now. If you're looking for them to cater your events, you can't go wrong with the perfectly savory fried and seasoned tenders and balance it out with the buttery pancakes. Next time you see their elegant cart, don't pass it up because they're serving up the best comfort food.

Their food truck came to an event I was at and was interested in their chicken and Mac n cheese. This is probably the best fried chicken I've tried on the west coast. And eating it with their homemade Mac n cheese makes it even better. Their breading is what really makes the fried chicken. Unfortunately the event I went to they didn't have their full menu. I really want to try their chicken and Mac panini or their jalapeño Mac n cheese. Either way, I highly recommend trying them if you find them at an event.

Finally Lorraine's got their yelp page up and running! I wanted to post the first review, but it looks like someone else beat me. I've been here several times and the food is legit!!! My go to is the chicken strips and pancakes. I pretty much get that every time. Somehow the pancakes have gotten even better, and by better, I mean fluffier and bigger! The legacy fries are decadent, sweet and savory. I'll have to post some pics next time I go, so you can see what I'm talking about. If mac and cheese is your thing, they have a 6 cheese mac and cheese and a Bacon Jalapeno Mac if you are feeling sassy. They also have a panini, but I've never tried it. The people that work there are super nice too. Friendly service and they own the food truck themselves. Oh the sauces! I forgot to mention they have 3 homemade sauces. Sweet Chili and Honey Chipotle are the ones that I usually go with. I'm not sure what is in the sweet chili sauce, but it is a banger. I think I can figure out what is in the Chipotle sauce (Honey! lol). They don't have a set location yet. I've had them at the Art and Soul festival in Oakland, and at a high school football game in Hayward. I talked with the owners and they mentioned they would be at Birdhaus beer garden in a few weeks, so I called ahead to confirm and went out there for a re-up. They have a social media page, so follow them if you want to know where they will be. If you see them at a food festival or some event, don't hesitate to give them a try!

Great mildly spiced, crispy chicken, huge fluffy pancakes with delectable syrup. The kids wiped the plate clean, and that says a lot. Thank you for stopping by Birdhaus Beer Garden again, we're so happy to have another great small business in the area. Don't sleep on the mac and cheese either, it is delicious too! We can't wait to try the jalapeño bacon Mac next time!!!
