I love the atmosphere. Didn't like the lemon cake...I love the cake itself but the frosting and lemon curd was over powering to me. But the burn almond cake a 9...the reason it wasn't a 10 was because I didn't have a hold cake..Delicious...yum

I went with a cousin of mine, the cake was for a birthday party, we were attended by the owner, he's so kind and friendly. The cake was delicious, it wasn't too sweetened, the frosting flavor was perfect, the design and colors were beautiful. If you want a delicious cake to make happy a beloved friend or a family member you need to go there for sure, totally worth it.

Just bought a chocolate cake slice, and it was delicious! The best chocolate cake I've had in the bay. It was reasonably priced and a large portion and extremely moist. It was also just the right amount of sweetness for me. Definitely stop by this place if you have a craving for some cake!

We wanted to order a cake from a local family owned business. Max's cakes is what I found. I went in a few times before to purchase cupcakes to decide on flavor of cake. We finally chose their strawberry shortcake flavor. What stood out to us was that the cake was light and fluffy and the buttercream filling had real strawberries. We chose to have it delivered to the restaurant where we had our event. Delivery fee was reasonable, service from the start was great, communication was clear. The cake was INCREDIBLE! Family and friends raved about it. One family who flew in from another country said the cake was worth the whole trip lol! Will definitely purchase from them again.

My brother is a huge fan of Caitlyn Clark and I asked specifically for a basketball cake that is Caitlyn Clark themed. I sent a picture of how I wanted the cake to look like and the cake came out PERFECT! I highly recommend coming to this place for cakes and will definitely be coming back in the future.

ordered 5 dozen custom cupcakes for my baby shower and Max followed my instructions to a T. everyone was impressed with the quality and the flavors. the textures of the cupcakes was melt-in-the-mouth and every cupcake was generously filled as well. they held their shape, had good crumb, and were sweet but not overly sweet. i asked for swiss meringue instead of buttercream frosting and Max's team delivered. fruit flavors tasted natural and not artificial. everyone raved that these were their new favorite cupcakes. the crowd favorites were oreo, strawberry shortcake, and salted caramel. pricing was fair as well. 10/10 would purchase again for another event.

Max’s Cakes exceeded my expectations! From start to finish, the experience was seamless. Max was very responsive and courteous over email, making the ordering process a breeze. Pickup on the designated day was quick and easy, with plenty of parking nearby.
My daughter handled the pickup and mentioned how much she loved the cute shop and how friendly and helpful the staff were.
As for the cake—wow! We ordered the burnt almond cake, and it was absolutely delicious. The cake itself was incredibly fresh, with a wonderfully moist texture. The whipped custard had the perfect balance of sweetness, and the crunchy sliced praline almonds on the outside added just the right contrast. Truly one of the tastiest cakes we've ever had!
Highly recommend Max’s for their amazing, top-quality baked goods and excellent customer service. We’ll definitely be back!
