My husband and I spent our birthday dinner here in the Victorian house basement of this restaurant and had a wonderful meal. We ordered the chicken entree and the steak. We split the salad, had wine and a hot fudge sundae for dessert. It was delicious, wine was fabulous and the restaurant is cozy and quiet. Would come again!
This is a beautiful restaurant. The lights were so low I could hardly see my food. There were neither salt nor pepper on the table. The food was expensive but mediocre. And the desserts were, all four of them, boring.

Terrible waiter, OKish food and bad dessert. The house interior looks good but from the outside it looks like a hunted house. Dark, there was a motion activated LED outside that bugged me the entire time we were eating.The waiter was the worst though. he had attitude and basically treated everyone as if we owe him something. Rushed every order as if he wanted us out asap.Would not recommend.

Neumanali is great for an intimate evening dinner with other adult friends or, for business. It is not the place to bring impolite children or adults acting like disrespectful children. Service is five star to all polite patrons and food is consistently great. Prices are competitive with other upscale establishments.
Recommend to myself from a friend who thinks very highly of Neumanali. The ambience/decor is very nice, restful, able to hear conversations clearly. The food was very, very good except for; my son-in-law ordered the boneless trout, and unfortunately there were several bones. My husband and daughter ordered the rack of lamb, and while it was quite delicious, it was cooked medium well, and they had requested medium rare. Lastly the very efficient gentlemen who seated us and also waited on us and the entire restaurant, had little or no table side manner. Very much lessened my experience being there.

Many have commented on the "personality" of the server. Get over it! He is there to provide a dining experience and is very straight forward and professional. When I go there, I don't expect small talk just quality in the meal with polite and efficient service.

The quality of the meals served was excellent, the flavors both standing out individually and combining to draw out even more flavors. A good selection of house wines. Service was courteous, the maïtre d'hôtel on top of his game. We enjoyed the subdued ambiance, noting some superb artwork on display throughout the dining area.

The food is incredible! When I asked who was working back there he said they have one guy doing everything. My jaw hit the floor. Everything from the appetizers to the entrées to the dessert was incredible. We are not wine drinkers so we cannot speak to that. The ambience is very nice. It's a great place with not a lot of tables so it does not get overcrowded. Only downside is, because it is a small place, it can get very noisy. We went on a night when there was a party of eight people that came in, and a lot of them laughed very loud and talked very loud, so it made it difficult to enjoy the peace and quiet. If it was not for that group, the place would've been perfect. Service is impeccable. This is now our second visit, and we would not hesitate to go back. However, if you are looking for a budget type of place, this is not it. This is a place where you celebrate and splurge and enjoy yourself with some incredible food. We highly recommend the prawn appetizer.
The Food is very Good here. The waiter Abram was so nice and very courteous . The ambience is perfect for a Romantic evening . This place is a hidden gem in Hayward. I Highly recommend this place.

LICHRALLY STUNNIG! I can not get over how amazing everything is. My favorite dish is the Clams in the Chorizo cream sauce. I regret not scooping and slurping twice as much. That sauce is gone forever. Parking: Both tenants and customers share one lot. If you are here for the restaurant, parallel park.
