I have to edit my rating based on a recent experience at this location. This used to be my favorite location out of Castro Valley/Hayward. Well, not anymore. I was there yesterday afternoon and manager fixing my food didn't cover my bowl after adding the rice. It sat on the counter uncovered while others fixed other plates and bowls around it. It was kind of busy so the same manager then took over carving the teriyaki chicken. He dropped some on the counter and instead of tossing it he picked it up with the tongs and tossed it back onto the cutting board and was going to mix it in with the chicken for my bowl. I had to shout to get his attention. I was like I DO NOT WANT THAT CHICKEN THAT FELL ON THE COUNTER IN MY BOWL! He nodded and tossed it back into the teriyaki chicken tray where they get the chicken from to serve someone else. At all the other locations I've been to, if something falls onto the counter it's discarded. Not plucked off the counter and tossed back in with the fresh stuff to serve to others. Very unsanitary conditions and the food was not fresh this time. Both the rice and chicken tasted stale.

Panda Express is a place I used to be able to depend on. It seems that many PEs stopped making the brewed iced teas once they ran out at dinner. Seemed silly since there were dozens of people coming in. I'm sure many would order if available hence why it was always running out. Today I ordered online and I didn't have the option. I am disabled so I sent my daughter in and was told they don't have it. I guess this machine is no longer used?? I am truly disappointed and I know it will seem silly to some, but that was my favorite thing to get. I csn go to TJs and get Orange Chicken and broccoli beef, I can buy frozen potstickers but that brewed tea was the best. Without it, there is no point of going anymore.

I have been here a few times with my kids since they like the kids meal portions. Now, if you pay close attention when you order your food and they put in the container, they will give you more chow mein or rice and less of whatever item you pick, they will also shake the spoon to give even less as they put in the container and also they will give you more vegetables than the chicken or beef. So, next time you go in, just pay attention when they start serving your food in the container, I have noticed this the last 2 times I have gone there. Just giving some FYI.

Nice place to eat Panda Express in Hayward. Not too crowded.
Your food has no taste. I wonder what changed on your cooking.

I buy food here but the portions vary depending on who is working. Some give a solid portion and others give very little.

Worst Panda Express in customer service. Girl behind the counter refused to serve because I was two steps ahead in line. Total discrimination case. Absolutely zero common sense. These people have zero customer service skills
