Vada pav and gajar ka halwa was absolutely delicious, so was the goat korma. I love that they don’t use too much cardamom or cinnamon. Perfect balance.
One of the best Punjabi Indian place in Bay for sure.

I’ve been a regular customer and have always enjoyed the food here. However, I was quite disappointed with my recent takeout order. Several key accompaniments like dahi, achar, and salad were missing with the aloo paratha, which really affected the experience. The Gobi Manchurian was soggy, and the vegetable fried rice was quite bland and oily — not up to the usual standard I’ve come to expect.
I hope this was just an off day, as I’ve had great meals here before. I’m sharing this feedback in the hope that the quality and consistency can be maintained moving forward.

The food was authentic and fresh. We ordered baingan bharta and dal makhani. The best we had since last 3 decades. The Tava roti was so soft. Lachcha paratha was perfect. To top it all the best customer service. Kudos for doing an excellent job from front to back of the restaurant!

A recent visit to Shahi Darbar in Hayward was a delight. The restaurant has a warm, inviting, and clean atmosphere, which makes for a perfect dining experience. The exceptional food and outstanding service made the evening memorable.
The dahi batata shevpuri was a flavor explosion. The combination of the crisp-fried poori shells, tangy yogurt, zesty chutneys, and fine sev was perfectly balanced and incredibly fresh. It is a must-try for chaat lovers. The gobi pakoda was also outstanding. The cauliflower was cooked perfectly, with a light and airy batter.
The mutter paneer was a wonderful and comforting dish. The paneer was soft and fresh, and the creamy tomato-based sauce was rich with balanced spices. It was paired with warm, buttery garlic naan, perfect for soaking up the curry.
The exceptional service provided by the server, Harpreet, and the entire staff elevated the dining experience. Harpreet was attentive, friendly, and offered great recommendations. The rest of the team also worked seamlessly, making for a smooth and pleasant evening.
