This location is not for tourists. Stopped by while on a family trip to San Francisco and the front door was locked and said "Appointments Only - No Visitors". We should have tried visiting the San Francisco location but figured that was a tourist trap. Didn't know this location does not accommodate visitors. It's a shame too, would have liked to see what else they sell besides Madelines and Brownie Bites.

Our office had a great time making chocolate together. I loved how the instructions were clear enough for kids to follow. I learned some very practical chocolate making skills too!

From childhood candy favorites and memories since the 60's- until today- still the best. I always like to pick up a couple boxes or bags to treat my friends and neighbors. And myself! Our own sweet treasure.

This is the best place I've visited so far we all need to have a cookie and have a wonderful day.

Every time I need to go to the Geary St Kaiser, I make a stop at the Sugar Bowl for a little comfort food. Today's treat was an egg and cheese on an English muffin with a little ketchup. In previous visits I've had fruit salad, various pastries, and once some shrimp dumplings. All reliably fresh and good. The place is clean and the service is speedy, so it's pleasant to sit and wait for others too. They could turn on a few more lights, though- it's a bit dark inside.

the location doesn't have a "shop". it's an office, warehouse and manufacturing plant.Sugar Bowl Bakery i discovered at their small bakery in San Francisco near Toland St. decades ago. baked goods so decadent tasty but also so unhealthy. luckily, i haven't eat many since.example: Palmiers- 1 piece 160 calories, 25% fat, 10% sugar (of daily allowance) yesterday i ate several days worth. that's why i felt dizzy this morning.
