I've been eating strawberry shortcakes for a lot of years, and this one was the worst. One I've ever had by far the cake was dry the whip cream icing was very thin and not flavorful at all. I don't know how they're staying in businesses if they're serving cakes like this.

I’m very disappointed. I was in communication with the Bakery via email regarding custom cupcakes, that I needed for my Grandson’s birthday. I only wanted 6… The line of communication stopped and when I called to inquire about it, there was no Invoice for my order. So unprofessional!

I bought a birthday cake here years ago and loved it, so when looking for a chocolate cake for a birthday I stopped in to take a look. They didn't have chocolate but I was told they had a marble cake. I thought, ok sounds good, so I bought it. When we cut it it was almost all vanilla with very little, next to no chocolate and the cake was very dry. So disappointing.

Honestly disappointed in my experience. Was very excited to order my sons one year birthday cake from here. Emailed to begin the process of placing my order. I received a price quote etc. Came in today to taste some flavors and place the final order for my cake. Was told the owner could meet with me in 10 minutes, then I was left sitting there for about 20-25 minutes. The owner happened to be just a few steps away in the back and within earshot of me. She knows I’m there waiting for her and instead instructs her employee to then tell me to make an appointment after I waited for her. She didn’t even have the decency to just take three steps over to the counter to let me know directly. I literally just needed to select my flavors (which I had ready) and pay the deposit, everything else was in an email exchange between us. Highly upset with the trash customer service. Immediately set an appointment with another bakery for my sons cake. Very unfortunate.

Decided to order my dad's cake here for his birthday. Filling out the form was easy and they respond to my emails pretty promptly. To feed 30+ people, a double cake with fresh fruit (vanilla flavor) for $99 is a pretty good deal for the bay area. They called me to clarify the flavors and I changed my pick-up time, which was nice of them to be flexible. The double cake was enough to feed more than 30 people. We had a good chunk as leftovers. I love how this spot has so many type of flavors and different sizes. Take a look at their site!Pick up was a breeze, they were just finishing up the cake. I took a first glance and thought it looked ok, wished I looked closer though! There was a typo on the cake, it said "babe" instead of "baba". I didn't notice it until it was too late. It could easily be fixed if I called them out at first glance or change it myself... but we kept it and it was a good laugh for the family. I would advise you to check the spelling on the cake before signing. The flavors wasn't sweet at all, its not the traditional Asian cake but I loved how it wasn't too sweet for the older folks at the party. For fresh fruit I expected a bit more fruits but they only provided strawberries, and it seemed oddly placed on top (take a look at the picture). Overall, not bad for the price and love how it's a local Hayward shop. It's a solid 4 star bakery, but docking 1 star due to the typo and how only strawberries were used.
