It’s actually been a couple years since we got to experience an excellent tasting with Bill & Betsy at Acorn, but last night brought us back as we really enjoyed this bottle of Axiom Syrah with our lamb chops. Thanks to you both for the flashback through your wine!!
My girlfriend and I visited several wineries in wine country on our visit to California, and this was one of our absolute favorites. So much character and passion behind everything which you can see and taste. We brought back some wine and continued to enjoy it long after arriving back home. We actually chose a bottle from Acorn to celebrate our first home together—the bottle as pictured. Betsy and Bill are such gracious hosts. I loved having the names on the back of the bottle being the same people who poured our glasses. On top of that the wine is fantastic and the vineyard is beautiful. I’d also highly recommend bringing your own charcuterie to have a picnic at the tables after your tasting with the bottles you just purchased.
