A wonderful, informative, and thought-provoking tasting with Betsy and Bill. Unlike other experiences you may find in the bigger wineries. And dog friendly!

Betsy and Bill are such gracious hosts. I loved having the names on the back of the bottle being the same people who poured our glasses. On top of that the wine is fantastic and the vineyard is beautiful. I’d also highly recommend bringing your own charcuterie to have a picnic at the tables after your tasting with the bottles you just purchased.

It’s actually been a couple years since we got to experience an excellent tasting with Bill & Betsy at Acorn, but last night brought us back as we really enjoyed this bottle of Axiom Syrah with our lamb chops. Thanks to you both for the flashback through your wine!!

My girlfriend and I visited several wineries in wine country on our visit to California, and this was one of our absolute favorites. So much character and passion behind everything which you can see and taste. We brought back some wine and continued to enjoy it long after arriving back home. We actually chose a bottle from Acorn to celebrate our first home together—the bottle as pictured. When we return, we will definitely allot more time to spend at this winery, and we can't wait to do so. Of note, I thought the Medley was one of my favorite bottles we purchased on the trip and one of the most beautiful bottles I've enjoyed, certainly something that I will always remember. Cheers!

Incredible experience. The owners are wonderful people, knowledgeable and fun. The wine is excellent. Would recommend to anyone visiting the area.

Great place whether a family visit or casual visit on the weekend. First and foremost, most Russian River locations are not going to be glitzy and loaded with a million dollar tasting room and for us locals that is completely fine. ACORN by no means needs it as they produce great varietals that sell themselves. The staff here are top notch and know their trade well, which is always great for those seeking knowledge in the wine realm. The property is basically a converted home located on the beat path, which is an adventure itself! Parking can be tricky during busy times, but is completely doable though. As for the ambiance of the estate, it's almost like being at a relatives home, very comfortable and inviting. There is not a ton of room, but they make do. Now for the wines, I believed they were all quite good, with great complexity and depth along with great notes to expect from the varietals. Price point was on par with the small lot production, varietal, and the area they produce wine in to be honest. I can honestly say my few visits I have had have been great and always look forward to visiting again the future since they have been around for quite some time. An easy recommendation for those wine tasting in the area.

We went to Acorn Winery yesterday and were thrilled with every wine in the tasting with Betsy . Topped off with a tour and taste of the grapes right off the vines with Bill. He provided such interesting information about the horticulture of their extensive varieties. A magical day. Thank you.

Very happy with going to this winery versus a large location! They are so knowledgeable and the wine was delicious. It was an intimate experience and you could tell the owners were passionate and thankful to have us there. I would recommend going to this hidden gem over the bigger names any day. You won’t be disappointed.

Opened the 2015 Alegria Syrah. Forgot how excellent the grape can. Thank you Bill and Betsy!

You can't beat Acorn Winery for an educational wine experience straight from the winemakers themselves. We went as a group of 3 couples, the size was perfect for there space. Such a genuine experience- learning about wine, the vineyards and the people themselves, Betsy + Bill. We had the incredible opportunity to walk amongst the vines and learn about the different varieties Bill grows, many of which are grown for other wine makers. Our time tasting and learning their story was wonderful with Betsy. Thank you for a wonderful time!

Some friends who are members gifted a tasting to us novice wine people. Betsy was a lovely host answering questions, providing information, and sharing their wines. We walked away with a bottle of Rosato and one of their Medley. The grounds are simple and lovely. We hiked up a row to enjoy the view from the shade of an old pine. The private tasting at this small vineyard was a perfect intro to wine tasting.
