Great food and service. Scallops ans Filet cooked perfectly. The tuna and tagliatelle were on point. Server (forgot her name) was on it as was the bidder, Ignacio. Well run! Can't wait to be back.

Absolutely wonderful. And didn't break the bank. Give it the highest possible recommendation!

Poor Experience We came here to celebrate a very special 80th birthday, and unfortunately the service fell short of expectations. A starter loaf of bread was brought to the table, but no knife was provided to cut it, which felt careless. The waiter was not friendly or attentive, and overall the atmosphere did not make us feel welcome. For such an important occasion, we were hoping for warmth and thoughtful service, but instead we left feeling disappointed and that the experience was less than enjoyable.

Montage was a truly awesome experience! We were delighted by the incredible food and loved sampling the local wine selection.

Amazing service, food and beautiful views. I had the GF French toast and my husband had the Sunday brunch and was extremely happy he got that, as we normally travel on the weekdays. We will come back here on a Sunday!

I had freinds visiting from the UK and I wanted to take them somewhere special so I booked lunch at Hazel Hill. I have had good experiences here in the past but this visit was very disappointing. The food was at best just OK and the two Ceasar salads that were served were drowning in dressing and the accompanying chicken was overcooked and dry. Hazel Hill is a beautiful space and very enjoyable when the food matches the ambiance, but that was not the case this time.

Service was slow, unusual for a montage experience. The food was hit or miss, some items were 10/10 while some we would never order again.

We had an exceptional experience at Hazel Hill for lunch. The food, ambience and wait staff were amazing.

This place is incredible!! Wonderful food, excellent service (ask for Sophia) and just a great vibe overall. The setting is gorgeous and the mid-century modern design of the resort really adds a level of class that you instantly appreciate upon arrival. The food, cocktails and wine are all top-notch, as you would expect from a Montage property. Highly recommended!

We almost skipped Hazel Hill after reading a few negative reviews online, but thank goodness we didn’t listen to the “Karens.” From start to finish, our experience was absolutely outstanding. The food was exceptional, the atmosphere elegant yet comfortable, and the service flawless. Our server, Sophia, was truly incredible — attentive, kind, and clearly passionate about what she does. Every detail was thoughtful and elevated without feeling pretentious. Hazel Hill exceeded every expectation and is now one of our favorite dining experiences anywhere. Highly recommend!

Maybe our expectations were too high because it’s in a Montage but our waiter was as flat and lacking spark as a person can be. We asked how they make their espresso martini and he didn’t know, which was fine because he asked the bartender but the pour was very small. We had the Cesar salad which was good but on the smaller side. We shared a burger which again was good, but nothing outstanding in anyway and again, we felt should have been larger. Of course the setting is gorgeous but overall we felt the experience was overpriced and lackluster.

They have a new chef for the last month or so. Our experience was not great
The staff tried hard but the scallops and seabass were very average. Service suffered from understaffed that they admitted. My duck was very good but portions are smalls. Stupendous location and atmosphere. Beautiful place but not worth the $$ this evening.

Stayed at Montage for 2 nights and ate at Hazel Hill a total of 4 meals: 1 lunch, 1 dinner & 2 breakfasts so we had a lot of chances for them to get it right. They missed the mark at every meal.
The good:
-beautiful view and restaurant
-friendly staff
-focus on fresh, local ingredients. Some standouts like homemade jam. Food looked pretty.
-breakfast foods were tasty and well prepared

The bad:
-servers are inattentive for a restaurant at a hotel of this price point and caliber. Hard to get the check, more water, condiments etc.
-food and coffee served were not hot enough. My husband's steak came cold at dinner. Sent it back and it came lukewarm the second time. Server gave some excuse about them needing to let it rest so it gets cooler. Coffee one morning was lukewarm. When we mentioned to the server she was upset and ran off and then we never saw her again. Gave up on getting regular coffee and got another server to get us a latte which was finally hot enough.
- server messed up our 20yr old bottle of wine we brought to dinner. Rushed into opening it without much thought, broke the cork and had to take it away to have someone help her get it strained. Thank goodness they waived the corkage fee. Why isn't there a sommelier?
- food was just ok. Nothing special. The prices are what you'd expect at a high end resort but the value just isn't there. Example - breakfast for 2 was $75-$90 which is pricey for 2 plates of eggs, toast, potatoes, breakfast meat and coffee.
Overall this restaurant doesn't seem well managed and the food is just not at the level it should be for a 5-star resort. If we were to go back, we would likely eat in town which is about a 10-minute drive away.

It was a beautiful day, and to be able to enjoy perfect cocktails, champagne, and delicious food. I really could not have asked for anything more. Nick was professional, friendly, and very helpful with questions we had about the menu and the local area.
