We seated inside table and it was ok at the beginning. Our dinner experience was screwed up after two big groups. One is Chinese group, 10-15 people sitting way far but they were so loud.
After 30 mins there was another group came just behind us. They were louder than the Chinese group. Even with two of us sitting next to each other, I can't hear what he was saying.
Everyone is trying to enjoy the dinner but we couldn't enjoy.
I hope the restaurant staff considered better seating arrangements.

Exceptionally great setting ( outside seating) with the view of the vineyards and mountains. Our server made excellent recommendations and provided great service. Few vegetarian options, the pasta with mushrooms was excellent, but the dish with the Amaranth seeds was terrible with no taste or flavor. This should be taken off the menu.
Vegetarian options: Good vegetarian options. Avoid ordering Amaranth seed dish

Exceptional service. Excellent ambiance. Overall the food items were great, but, the item with Amaranth was terrible— bad texture and no taste or flavor. Highly recommend to remove this from the menu . The other two items especially the pasta was outstanding and the tomato salad was super
Lovely house-made rough sausage in the cassoulet appetizer. After sharing two other great appetizers, salmon rillettes and buffalo burrata salad, it was as a delicious entree for me. Magical, balmy views of Mt St. Helena at sunset completed a really special evening,
We dined here twice during our stay. The food was hit or miss. We had excellent starters and an entree I couldn't take more than two bites of; it was so bad. To their credit, they didn't charge me for the meal because they noticed I didn't eat it. Two of the starters were fantastic, though. We had brunch and again, some food was great, some terrible. The atmosphere is great. The service was very good. The kitchen was so slow each meal took 2 hours.
Hostess & wait staff all amazing, friendly, attentive and accommodating! Food was hit or miss. Some dishes delicious, and others fell short. Would recommend for a special occasion.
Lunch at Hazel Hill was excellent. Our first visit. The service was outstanding, could not ask for better attention. We did not sit at the bar, but it looks really lovely and we will definitely make sure we have time for a cocktail next time we visit. We had an outside table with a splendid view. It was so relaxing on such a pretty day. It feels zen-like. The resort is well laid out and fits into the Sonoma County landscape beautifully. Very low-key and well done. We ordered the buratta as an appetizer and it was very good. We split a salad with grilled shrimp and it was also good but not anything special. However, the lemon meringue dessert was fabulous. This was our first visit and we will definitely be back. We will also stay at the hotel next time. Thanks to everyone who made our afternoon so much fun.
We enjoyed a special, magical evening of a culinary masterpiece! Nestled within the serene ambiance of the Montage Healdsburg Resort, Hazel Hill offered an exceptional dining experience. We chose the Chef’s tasting menu which did not disappoint.
The setting is nothing short of breathtaking. A large, grand wedding was taking place during our dinner which provided quite the entertainment, including a violinists perched high in the vineyard. The restaurant is designed to maximize the natural beauty the environment, it is so well-done —in concert within the surroundings; expansive windows offering panoramic views of the rolling vineyards and oak-studded hills.
The service was exemplary, reflecting the high standards of the Montage brand. Rolando went above and beyond, and Sophia and complementary servers were impeccable! The staff is knowledgeable, attentive, and genuinely passionate. The pacing of the meal was perfect. The food celebrated the local bounty and the menu showcased the finest local ingredients. Hazel Hill Montage is more than just a restaurant—it's an experience and destination. The combination of exquisite food, outstanding service, and the enchanting setting makes it an unmatched gem in our region. We plan to go back as soon as our schedule allows and as often as possible!

We had a nice brunch experience at Hazel Hill within the Montage Hotel today. The views from the outdoor patio of the vineyards are outstanding. The food was inventive and excellent, and the service was solid. This is a great spot to catch some views, sip some wine, and have a great meal after a day of tastings. A highly recommended experience!

The food, service, and ambience was incredible. The chitarra was out of this world. The wagyu strip loin and heirloom tomatoes were divine. Highly recommend. Charlie, JB, and the hosts all provided excellent service. We will be back.

Great service though the food took a little bit longer than expected to come out. But, the food was great. The wine selections are great too. We appreciated that we weren't rushed, though it wasn't that crowded. We sat on the Patio which is a lovely location to dine. It's been a couple of years since we'd been and it's really nice to see all landscaping filled in and the mature vineyards. It's a stunning location.
We recently had lunch at Hazel Hill, and while the setting was lovely and the service was excellent, the overall experience was somewhat disappointing. We started with a delicious gazpacho soup, which set high expectations. Unfortunately, things went downhill from there. The Little Gem salad was heavily overdressed, making it difficult to enjoy. I specifically asked about the heat level of the sauce on the chicken sandwich before ordering, and the waitress assured me it wasn't hot at all. However, it ended up being far too spicy for my taste. When I requested a plain grilled piece of chicken instead, what I received was overly cooked and overly seasoned breast with an excessive amount of pepper, making it inedible. The prawn dish we tried was also mediocre, lacking any standout flavor. To top it off, we were never offered a dessert menu. Given the high points of the atmosphere and service, I was hoping for a more consistent dining experience.
Where to begin... reserved in advance and sat 20 minutes later. Even though we ordered a cocktails we just got water and a cocktail 25 minutes later the hors d'oeuvres were OK. However, the hash and the Benedict all eggs were snotty sent back and came back snotty again and the potatoes were raw on the hash ...we still had no service or anyone check in at any time because apparently there was a wedding party there too.. we had a 60th birthday party but obviously not important.. the Sommelier Paul Coker tried his best to correct things and offered us a meal on him on our next visit.. apparently he thought we were from another state as most guests are... he will not respond to phone calls because we are right here in town... sorry bad service bad staff and bad food...go to Catellis seriously
One of the worst dinning experiences ever! Would not recommend dinning in this establishment! Went to the restaurant expecting a nice lunch with good service. Usually, I would let a poor experience pass and move on. However, this was so off the chart bad, I had to write a review. The hostess was nice. We sat and ordered lunch. About a hour went by and one appetizer was served to a party of six. We had no explanation on why our order was delayed. Time went by and we had to ask where the remainder of the food was. We were not served all the appetizers we ordered and when the food finally arrived about a half hour later, it was sub par for a supposedly high end establishment. Just an all around bad experience! Will never go back!
We arrived on time for our reservation. We initially thought it would be for brunch but, found out the brunch would not be available for another 45 minutes. We ordered a Bloody Mary and told our server we would wait to order our food until the brunch menu was ready. We waited 45 minutes and enjoyed our Bloody Marys but, our server never returned. We had to flag down another server who told us our regular server had gone on a break. Eventually another server came to take our food orders. There were were only 3 other tables occupied at the time but, it took over 45 minutes to get our simple food orders. No one came to let us know why the food was taking so long. No one came to refill our water glasses. We were ignored. Service was not even up to chain diner standards. Given the reputation of Montage we expected attentive service. And we certainly didn't expect it to take nearly an hour to get our food from the time we ordered it. We will never return to Montage.
