I ordered the Tasting Menu and they dealt with my no-diary issues wonderfully by substituting items by checking with the chef, then making sure it was to my liking. The wine pairings were spot-on. Great dinner!

I wanted to dine somewhere my wife and I had not been before and was also looking for something special for her birthday. I am so glad I chose Valette. The entire experience was beyond anything I was imagining. All the little touches meant so much to her, from the personalized menu (which the chef signed) to meeting Bob Valette (the owner). The entire meal was extraordinary, Fresh garden vegetables, perfectly prepared duck and a great wine list. My heartfelt thanks to the entire staff for making this experience truly memorable for my wife and I.

The food was excellent last night. We enjoyed both of our entrées very much. I had enjoyed the restaurant until we got outside and my husband had remarked how my glass of wine was $36. I had ordered the $16 Pinot Noir but the waiter gave me the idea that that was far inferior and then offered a “phenomenal Pinot”. I said sure since every time I have gone up with a suggestion it's been maybe six or eight dollars higher. This was more than double the price of my $16 glass. I find that very annoying ,he could've said I have a phenomenal Pinot to offer you at 36. True I didn't ask ,next time I will know to, and I was going to have another glass of wine, but he didn't seem to be around,and didn't ask even when our glasses were empty. So all in all it was a good night until the end.

The food was delicious! The service was impeccably warm and gracious. The wine list is high quality. It would be hard to find an experience in wine country that provides this much high quality food and wine with this lack of pretention. Real professionals who care about quality and service!

My husband and I ate there for our wedding anniversary. The service was great, although for a higher end restaurant, the hostess and the staff looked like they were working at Applebee's. We were way dressed up for the environment as most were wearing casual attire (Shorts & T-shirts). We sat outside and the street noise with cars wasn't enjoyable, I would recommend indoors. If you are wanting a reason to dress up and experience fine dining, this isn't the place. We both ordered the prix fix menu and it was definitely above average, but not stellar in our opinions for $100pp.

Perfection! One word to describe our experience at Valette. Our waiter was wonderful. Had extensive knowledge about the menu. The food and desserts were excellent. It was an awesome experience and I would highly recommend. My husband and I will be back!

Would have been a 4 star on the food but the main dishes lacked seasoning. We had the duck, which wasn't crispy and the pork chop, which has been excellent in the past was a little overdone and didn't have enough seasoning. The cocktail was a passion fruit based and was very sour so I wouldn't recommend unless you really like sour drinks. The desert was way too sweet and just didn't seem like a polished dish (ItsNotA ‘Snickers Bar' Deux) it was just OK. We did enjoy the melon gazpacho and the Hawaiian Ahi poke. If we come back we would probably stick to the small plates vs the dinner menu.

Valette is always excellent. I visit the area once or twice a year and make sure I eat here each time. The special scallops dish is delicious. Enjoy the extensive local wine list. Service is outstanding.

We sat in their outside parklet, which was delightful on a warm summer evening. Our party had the scallops en croute, with caviar buerre blanc, which is a life-altering experience - the best dish I have ever tasted. The foie gras was exceptional with cornbread toasts. The sous vide pork chop with tomato salsa was divine. The melon gazpacho with cured ham was delectable. The pan seared duck breast on sacred rice with duck confit was out of this world. This is one of the greatest restaurants in Sonoma County
