So, I checked out Williamson Wines in Healdsburg the other day, and damn, it was a great find. The tasting room on Matheson Street is super fun, with this cool rustic vibe that’s not trying too hard. Their sparkling Malbec blew my mind—super bright and fruity, not like any bubbly I’ve had before. They hooked us up with some great cheeses and snacks that made the wines taste even better. The dude helping us was great, talking about how the family runs things and uses sustainable grapes without making it sound like a lecture. You can tell they care about making good wine—it’s smooth and doesn’t mess you up later. The food and wine pairing was perfect, especially with that Malbec stealing the show. Gotta hit up this spot again when I’m back in the neighborhood.

Even my non wine drinking non cheese eating husband was wowed by this place when he joined me and the girls for a 6 year overdue catch up on our recent trip to CA. The service was fabulous, the wines were amazing and the cheeses were paired with some unusual salts and jams that really enhanced all the flavours. Highly recommended and a bargain at $25.

Our experience was amazing. The wine was some of the best we had on our trip. The winery was beautiful and staff were all very welcoming. As a special treat the proprietor Bill Williamson was greeting and visiting with guests. We had a phenomenal experience with Bill sharing so many great stories. We look forward to visit again. From ambiance, to wine tasting, to customer service this place is an easy 5/5. The wine’s themselves are unique as are their pairings of cheese, condiments, & salts. We ended up buying their caramelized onion mustard, pink salt & truffle Parmesan salt. Will definitely be back, cheers!

We had THE best time on Xmas eve - 3 of us did the wine and cheese pairing at the downtown healdsburg location. George took care of us and was so friendly and knowledgeable. The wine was incredibly good and the cheese pairings were equally fantastic. This was the most fun we’ve had since being in wine country — be sure to stop by and spend time with George!!

Amazing experience! I was referred to the winery for their sparkling ✨️ reds and found them and so much more. The wine club is a great deal with many perks. Can't wait to visit with Sam George and Jeff. The cooking channel is stellar as well. So you soon and bringing more friends 🧡

My wife and I were in the area in July 2021. We just randomly chose places and Williamson was one we figured was open, not busy, and got more personal assistance while tasting some great wines. I bought a bottle of their 2016 Cab Franc and off we went. Flash forward to October 2022 and we had a family gathering. I figured it was time to open the bottle to share. It was one of the best wines we’ve ever had at a family gathering. Now I’m in charge of “bringing the party” to these events and I outdid myself with this. I wholeheartedly would recommend stopping here if you’re in the area.

This is our second time doing a tasting with food pairing at Williamson, and it’s always delicious.
The weather was perfect to sit on the patio; we originally were seated inside, but the staff was nice enough to move us outside.
Here’s what we tasted:
1) Coconut Thai Green Shrimp Curry with Gertie Gewurztraminer. Nice way to start the tasting! Bright flavors in both the food and wine.
2) Jerk Salmon Taco with Tickled Pink Rosé. Probably my least favorite pairing, I didn’t get a ton of flavor, but the textures were nice.
3) Entice Cuvée with Marinated Pepper Steak. The fan favorite of all the tastings! The food was scrumptious and paired with the wine, it really mellowed the tannins and brought out the fresh fruit notes (vs. being woodsy on its own).
4) Arouse Mélange with Red Velvet Crumble Cheesecake. Cheesecake isn’t really my thing, but the wine was the best out of the four on its own. Lots of delicious black and blue fruit on the nose and pallet.
Since my partner’s parents are members, our server allowed us to try any of the wines on the main menu. We decided to have a touch of the Blanc de Blancs, which was a perfect way to end our tasting. Crisp, bubbly, and cool - so refreshing!

This has been one of the greatest finds on our short girl's trip to wine country. The wine is incredible and George puts on the best tastings!
