I knew this would be a great place to take some friends who had never been to Texas before and wanted to experience non-chain Tex-Mex. The neighborhood, building, decor, staff and quality of food was perfect. However, the mirachi band is too much. Way too loud. It doesn't need to be so loud. It was if the horns had to prove they could play loudly. I get it, when a mirachi band is playing you don't have conversation, but wow, it doesn't have to be so overwhelming....
I've been coming to this place for years, and the food is consistently delicious. The staff's service is also great. However, I paid $9 for a bean and cheese burrito with light rice, which I assume is due to tariffs.
Food, service, employees and the owner are always spectacular!!!! I live in San Jac and this is our only spot we remotely interested in. Love this place my wife and I l enjoy coming here.
