If anyone remembers and/or misses Poul's Danish Bakery off Stanford St you will be delighted to know that Harvard Street Bakery Boulangerie is another unique and delightful supplier of wonderfully artisan baked goods. My mother used to buy Poul's Swedish Princess cake every year for my birthday and now I found that Laura makes them too, and in cupcake size! My husband loves her Bear Claws, but her Almond Scones, Chocolate Croissants, Cream Horns and Palmiers...sigh.

This is by far and away my favorite bakery in town. From the delicious daily soup (paired with their fresh sourdough loafs), to the plethora of sweet pastries that are always rotating, to the fluffy egg breakfast sandwiches on a fluffy croissant, every item has made me want more. When you think of a hidden gem, this is the place. The owners and employees are extremely sweet and their care shines through the food. All this to say, I LOVE this place.

Went here for brunch with my ma. Cute little shop with a cozy vibe. We got the breakfast sandwiches with beef instead of the ham. It was absolutely delicious and the staff was so accommodating to our requests. The service was truly phenomenal. I would come here again, give it a try, you won't regret it !

I have never had a bad item here. No matter what I get, it's a home run. My absolute favorite item is the breakfast sandwich. Bacon, spinach, cheese and the fluffiest eggs ever on a freshly made croissant. I'm not allowed to just get breakfast sandwiches when I'm there. I load a box full of their bakery items for the family. Do yourself a favor and check out this wonderful bakery.
P.S. I love their cannolis better than the ones I've eaten in Boston.

For my husbands birthday I was referred by a neighbor for a cake. The cake was everything I could have asked for. Guests took pictures of the cake, because it was lovely, but I also received so many compliments on how delicious it was. Moist, tasty, just plain yummy. I highly recommend you stop by and try this bakery.

Harvard St. Bakery and Cafe has some of the best baked goods I’ve ever tasted—everything from their croissants to their macarons is delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. The pastries are always beautifully presented, and you can tell there’s real craftsmanship behind each item. However, there are a few areas that need serious improvement. First, they should really post prices and have a proper menu so customers know what’s available and what they’re paying. But the biggest issue is the coffee service. I ordered a cappuccino, and it was cold and tasted terrible. Clearly the shop girl had no idea how to make one, as she used drip coffee, and ice cold milk that wasn’t properly steamed. If you’re going to serve espresso drinks, they need to be done right. Stick to the baked goods here, and skip the coffee.
