Where I live in LA, there are at least ten boba spots within walking distance of my apartment. Over the years, getting boba late on a Sunday night has become a kind of “Sunday scaries” ritual for my partner and me.
Since I’ve been out here taking care of my dad, I’ve been more than a little homesick. I read about Tea Be Honest in a Reddit post and figured it might be cathartic to give it a try.
I ordered the dirty milk tea with boba and custard, and it was delicious—very, very sweet, which happens to be exactly how I like it. I’m not a huge fan of the super tall, narrow cups that don’t fit in most car cup holders, but that seems to be part of their signature style. Overall, it really hit the spot.

Please never get rid of the Orange Creamsicle Milkshake it is sooo good! Highly recommend this drink if you like drinks like the orange dream machine from Jamba Juice, this one is actually sooo much better. I come here on a weekly basis for it.

Not from the area but we always stop at boba places wherever we go and this place did not disappoint! The staff was so patient, helpful and kind!! The drinks were absolutely delicious. My kids and I will definitely be back whenever we visit again 💖

This is our second visit to Tea Be Honest. We came back for the best Boba we've had, EVER! The Thai tea is awesome and extra large only costs a little extra. Staff is super friendly. We chatted with the owner (small family owned chain).
Great customer service! Great drinks! I recommend the Thai tea with coffee jelly really good! My wife HAS to have this place at least once a week!
