My family has been visiting Casa de fruta for years. It’s been a family tradition to go camping to Casa de fruta for 4 nights. For years my family of 5 trailers book our reservations a year in advance. Never in all the years of staying there have we had issues until this year. Upon arrival to the campground we learned that the office staff gave our spots that we reserved (1 year) in advance to other campers and split our family group up. They put me and my parents in spots that were too small for our trailers but we made it work. Along with our camping spots not having park tables and when we asked for a table the office staff told us no you can get a table tomorrow. Along with the first night, thanksgiving night we were harassed by the office staff via text all night about our truck being parked next to our trailer. The same way that everyone else in the park had parked their trucks. We asked that we speak to the manager she said the manager was not present. We asked that the manager come speak to us in the morning. Onto the next morning (Friday after thanks giving) we were met with 6 sheriffs and the manager who is a major coward. He chose not to discuss why his staff was harassing us about our truck the previous night via text but Instead he told us that we had 45 minutes to pack up our things and we needed to leave and said that we were rude to the office staff. Along with the issue about giving our reserved spot away the manger said and I quote “I can do whatever I want with the spots”. We asked for a refund he said no refund for anything. But they didn’t have a problem taking our money. So not only did the office staff give our pre reserved spots away to others but harassed us and then kicked us out. Needless to say that they ruined a family tradition camping trip and lost business. The manager and his office staff can go stick their heads where the air quality is questionable. Who ever is running the RV park needs to reconsider there staff. They don’t belong there for the way they treat people. Kaylie in the office is rude and even tho she states that she’s worked there for a month and knows all the rules and regulations clearly doesn’t. And we didn’t appreciate her harassing us via text thanksgiving night. And the older lady with glasses, she to is joke and lacks hospitality, but calls herself the supervisor. Based on reviews that I’ve been seeing lately. At this rate Casa de Fruta RV campground is going to go under with there current management.

Great place to stop by after a long day at the Renaissance Faire! They have a lot of fun ice cream flavors, and they have good scoop sizes. Prices are also fair and reasonable.

Nothing like some ice cream after a hot day at the nearby Renaissance Faire! Lots of flavors available, and the server who helped us gave us heaping scoops of ice cream.

The manager of the RV park is absolutely unhinged. We were trying to book a stay, and we were being told the rules. I tried to ask clarifying questions, because the rules at this park are much different than any other RV park or campground I have ever been to. She began to yell at me and threaten to not book us, stating that she was suspicious we were going to break the rules because of my questions. I managed to calm her down, assure her we weren't trying to break the rules, just clarify them, and was finally able to get the booking. But when we arrived, we were presented with a whole new set of outrageous rules that we had to individually sign off on. Before signing, I of course started reading what they wanted me to sign, and tried to ask more clarifying questions, mostly about the one tent rule and $10 per guest rule. The two women at the counter began to get upset with us again, they basically said that if we wanted a second tent, we would have to pay for a second camp site. We were 5 people with 2-3 person tents, and there is no other nearby campground. Also our oldest son and his girlfriend are living nearby, we were hoping they could come have dinner with us. When my husband and I were trying to figure out what to do, they began to aggressively let us know that we didn't have to stay there if we didn't like the rules. In the end, we opted to get a refund and go home. When the manager came in for the refund, it was the same woman that yelled at me on the phone. She came in with a huge attitude, and started yelling at me & my husband almost instantly. She yelled at us for not reading the confirmation email, and yelled at us for wanting a refund. We were shocked, and just asked to give us our refund so we could go. She then came around the counter, right up to me and started yelling in my face and pointing at me that if I didn't get out of her office right then she wouldn't issue the refund at all. She was much taller than me and I expect that she thought she could intimidate me, but I was just stunned that she was so volatile for absolutely no reason. This was not oir first trip to Casa RV, but with this new management, it will certainly be our last. They don't seem to want people to actually stay here and enjoy themselves. This is the most inhospitable group of "hosts" I've ever encountered in my life.

They changed it alot since I was younger. It used to be a full candy store with endless options. Now its only some candy, ice cream and coffee. I just think it was better when it was just candy

Large ice cream scoops and amazing lemon sorbet but…

The person behind the counter just disappeared for over ten minutes, letting a line build up. Then, asking for an empty cup so we can avoid a melted ice cream “soup” disaster, I was quoted 20 cents. Really? 20 cents for a paper cup?! Shame.

June 2025:
They no longer sell brittle. They converted most of the candy store into a coffee shop. Casa de Fruta ect is great for families with money to burn. Keep the kids busy at the playground, carousel, and train rides while the adults go to the winery. Broad selection of products with prices that are bordering on obscene. $18 packaged Carmel apples. Seemed like ~30-40% of their products were local. Some amazing antique farm equipment around the edges of the property but most of it is overgrown with invasive weeds. It would be really great if they could put the same effort into being stewards of the land they own as much as they do sugar-filled cash-grabs.

It has variety of candy choices. I stopped for ice cream there on the hot road, I wasn’t expecting such an oasis in the middle of nowhere! The pond, antique trains and cars, kids park, ducks, wind mill, everything was unexpectedly pretty. And o ur side there was even working carousel!
